Phlebotomist II Location: Leesburg VA 20176 Duration: 03 Month Contract (Possibility of extension or conversion) Shift: Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm Pay Rate: $17-$21.79/hour (W2) (Based on experience and education) Job Summary The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and represents the company with professionalism, compassion, and integrity. This role is responsible for performing high-quality blood specimen collection and processing while ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and accuracy. The PSR II creates a welcoming environment that builds patient trust and supports informed healthcare decisions. Assignments may take place in a Patient Service Center, a physician’s office, or other locations based on business needs. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen processing activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor, • Collect clinical and forensic specimens following established procedures and safety protocols, • Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood draws with confidence and precision, • Verify patient identity, demographics, and obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy, • Maintain complete, accurate records and required documentation, • Ensure specimens are properly labeled, processed, and prepared for laboratory testing, • Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-centered environment, • Demonstrate leadership behaviors and a strong commitment to process excellence, • Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public, • Protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures Required Skills & Competencies • Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision, • Excellent customer service and communication skills, • Strong judgment and decision-making within established procedures, • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, • Adaptability and willingness to embrace change, • Basic computer skills, including keyboarding and data entry Education & Certification • High school diploma or equivalent (required), • Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred, • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA Experience Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, • At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center preferred, • Prior customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred Additional Requirements • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed, • Ability to travel and work at multiple locations with minimal notice, • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable), • Compliance with company dress code, Employee Health & Safety standards, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles About Pride Health Pride Health, a division of Pride Global, has been delivering healthcare staffing solutions since 2010.
