The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Specialist Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: • Designing, specifying, and implementing Machine Vision systems to provide inspection and automation functionality for a wide variety of automated manufacturing processes., • Consulting with internal business partners and manufacturing sites to identify and execute high-value opportunities for Machine Vision technology integration, including process optimization., • Employing emerging technologies, including deep learning, to enhance the performance and capability of Machine Vision systems and advance manufacturing profitability., • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to execute project development, installation, and commissioning in alignment with technical, cost, and schedule requirements., • Supporting the Global Supply Chain Strategy in Solventum by advancing Process Technology to deliver the Operating Plan, including participation in global standardization and technology roadmap efforts. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline AND (3) years of combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment OR • High School Diploma/GED AND (7) years of combined experience in engineering and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: • Five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment, • Three (3) years of Machine Vision engineering experience, • Strong project management skills and experience implementing new process equipment into manufacturing. Ability to analyze, organize, and manage dynamic priorities., • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills both verbal and written., • Experience with Cognex, AccuSentry, and/or Keyence Machine Vision platform, • Experience with automation including robotics, continuous motion assembly, and process integration., • Knowledge in 3D vision or deep learning-based inspection., • Training and experience in Lean methodology, statistics, SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma., • Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution. Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 - $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
