Job Description NOW HIRING: CNC Field Service Techs $33-$40/hr Job Description The Maintenance Engineer / Machine Repair Technician installs, repairs, and overhauls CNC machinery in an industrial environment. This role involves working from blueprints, schematics, and manuals to perform precise mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs, as well as complete machine rebuilds. The technician uses strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of FANUC controls to diagnose issues, restore equipment to optimal performance, and support installations at customer sites, including periodic travel. Responsibilities • Install, repair, and maintain CNC machinery, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently., • Work from blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine proper installation, repair, and overhaul procedures., • Receive machinery, fully disassemble it, clean and repair components, and reassemble to proper specifications., • Operate CNC systems to demonstrate equipment functionality and analyze malfunctions., • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment., • Utilize knowledge of FANUC controls to diagnose and correct control-related problems., • Use standard test equipment, hand tools, and measuring devices to perform accurate repairs and adjustments., • Interpret and work from wiring diagrams to perform electrical installations and repairs., • Perform PLC troubleshooting as needed to resolve machine control issues., • Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual or complex technical problems., • Support machine building, installation, and assembly activities at customer facilities., • Travel to customer sites, including trips of up to approximately two weeks at a time, to perform installations, repairs, and service., • Hands-on experience working on CNC machines for repair, overhaul, and installation., • Proven experience with FANUC controls, including troubleshooting and setup., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals., • Strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience related to CNC machinery., • Mechanical aptitude for disassembling, repairing, and reassembling complex machinery., • Electrical troubleshooting skills, including working from wiring diagrams., • Experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar machine repair role., • Proficiency in using standard test equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments., • Willingness and ability to travel for service and installation work, including trips of up to approximately two weeks at a time., • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills when diagnosing machine issues.
