Job DescriptionJob Title: Production OperatorJob Overview The Production Operator works on a food manufacturing production line. You will learn and perform the full production process—from mixing ingredients to packaging finished products. The role involves operating machines, completing safety and quality checks, and keeping accurate records. Some operators work as floaters, helping on different production lines as needed. Key Responsibilities • Operate and monitor production equipment used for:, • Mixing, • Baking, • Portioning, • Grinding, • Packaging, • Learn and perform all steps of the production process:, • Ingredient mixing, • Line-specific production tasks, • Final packaging, • Measure and weigh products accurately and pack them into pre-lined boxes., • Ensure correct labels are applied to every package and placed properly., • Measure ingredients and add them to blenders or conches using recipe sheets., • Complete production paperwork accurately and on time (batch records, quality checks)., • Perform hourly metal detector checks and record results., • Scan products in and out to maintain accurate inventory tracking., • Follow all updated work instructions and standard operating procedures., • Use pallet jacks and material handling equipment safely., • Keep the work area clean and organized., • Work at a fast pace while standing for long periods., • For floater roles, move between different lines and quickly learn new tasks., • Follow all safety rules, including wearing required protective equipment.Required Skills and Experience, • At least 6 months of manufacturing experience (food manufacturing preferred)., • Experience in one or more of the following:, • Packing, • Palletizing, • Visual inspection, • Machine operation, • Blending, • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly., • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment., • Comfortable working with automated production equipment., • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions., • Basic skills in completing paperwork., • Willingness to learn new processes and tasks., • Motivated to grow and take on more responsibility., • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts (days or nights).Additional Preferred Qualifications, • Previous food manufacturing experience., • Experience using metal detectors., • Experience using pallet jacks or similar equipment., • Comfortable working as a floater across multiple lines., • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused., • Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.Why Join Us?, • Work for a growing international food manufacturing company., • Opportunities for career growth (mixer, team lead, and more)., • Rotating 12-hour shifts provide built-in days off during the week., • Overtime opportunities available., • Permanent employees receive:, • Full benefits, • Paid holidays and holiday pay, • Monthly vending machine allowanceWork Environment, • Clean, well-lit, climate-controlled food production facility., • Shift schedule:, • Day Shift: 6:30 a.m. – 6:50 p.m., • Night Shift: 6:30 p.m. – 6:50 a.m., • Temperatures can reach up to 100°ree;F due to machinery and ovens., • Environment may be dusty depending on the product., • Requires standing for long periods and frequent lifting., • Use of machines, metal detectors, pallet jacks, and scanners. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
