Job DescriptionParalegal Assistant / Legal Assistant (Full-Time, Onsite) Overview LHH has partnered with a highly successful, client-focused personal injury law firm seeking a Paralegal Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a well-respected Oregon firm while gaining hands-on experience supporting experienced paralegals and attorneys. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will support three paralegals and two attorneys as part of a hardworking, positive, and team-oriented group. Key Responsibilities • Assist senior paralegals and attorneys with case preparation, • Draft correspondence and assist with discovery and legal documents, • Manage and organize case files, medical records, and billing documentation, • Schedule client meetings, depositions, and case-related appointments, • Communicate with clients, experts, and medical providers to obtain records, • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits and evidence organization, • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Oregon legal and ethical standards, • Support daily administrative tasks within the legal team Minimum Qualifications • 1-7 years of experience in a professional office setting, • Prior legal experience is helpful but not required, • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and manage multiple tasks, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Comfortable with email-focused communication, • Ability to work onsite 5 days per week, • Professionalism, resilience, and a strong work ethic Preferred Skills • Experience in a law firm or personal injury environment, • Familiarity with Oregon court rules and procedures, • Understanding of legal terminology, • Experience with case management software, • Ability to adapt quickly and learn from experienced paralegals Benefits & Details Location: Portland, OR Pay: $50,000-$60,000 per year (DOE) Schedule: Monday-Friday, onsite, within office hours of 8:00am-6:00pm (typical shift 8-5 or 8:30-5:30 with 1-hour lunch) • Paid parking or TriMet pass, • Multiple medical insurance tiers available (some include vision), • Dental insurance, • Group life insurance (firm-paid), • Long-term disability (firm-paid), • Voluntary life insurance options, • 401(k) with employer match (100% up to 3%, 50% match on 4-5%), • PTO + 5 days of sick time, • 9 paid holidays, • Wellness room onsite, • 24 Hour Fitness membership included or $30/month toward a gym of choice, • Wine club membership, • Sabbatical benefit: 6-week paid sabbatical every 7 years with up to $3,000 toward travel *This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients.
