Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Associate / Assembly Job Description The Warehouse Associate / Assembly professional supports daily warehouse operations by reviewing incoming orders, accurately picking and kitting products, assembling client-specific items using clear step-by-step instruction sheets, and preparing shipments for delivery. This role helps maintain a smooth workflow, ensures orders are complete and correctly assembled, and contributes to an organized and efficient warehouse environment. Responsibilities • Review incoming orders to verify accuracy, completeness, and any special client requirements before fulfillment., • Pick and stage products according to pick lists and warehouse procedures, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected., • Combine multiple components into organized kits based on client specifications, ensuring all required parts are included., • Assemble client products using detailed, step-by-step instruction sheets, maintaining consistent quality and workmanship., • Use hand tools and basic equipment safely and correctly during assembly and kitting tasks., • Pack, label, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with company procedures and carrier guidelines., • Assist with inventory activities, including stock counts, replenishment, and basic inventory adjustments as directed., • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse and work area, including proper storage of tools and materials., • Support production and warehouse workflows by moving materials, staging orders, and assisting team members as needed., • Operate or assist with warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, when trained and authorized, to move and organize inventory., • Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, or instruction sheets to ensure proper assembly and kitting., • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to resolve order issues, clarify instructions, and maintain workflow., • Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions and step-by-step assembly guides., • Comfort using hand tools for basic assembly and kitting tasks., • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking, kitting, assembling, and packing orders., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during the workday., • Basic computer or scanner proficiency for order tracking and inventory updates., • Reliable attendance and punctuality for an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekday schedule., • Experience with order fulfillment, including receiving client orders, picking, kitting, assembling, and shipping., • Familiarity with warehouse operations such as inventory handling, picking, and production support., • Experience with forklift operation in a warehouse environment, where training and authorization are provided., • Assembly or production work using hand tools and basic equipment., • Experience with inventory support tasks such as stock counts, replenishment, and organization of materials., • Comfort working with “IKEA-style” or similar visual instruction sheets for assembly. Work Environment This role is based in a warehouse and light production environment that focuses on order fulfillment, assembly, and shipping activities. You will work a regular weekday schedule from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., standing for extended periods and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. The work involves using hand tools, basic assembly equipment, and potentially forklifts or other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized. You will use scanners or basic computer systems to track orders and inventory. The facility emphasizes cleanliness and organization, with clearly defined storage areas, staging zones, and assembly stations to support safe and efficient operations. Appropriate work attire suitable for a warehouse and assembly setting is expected, supporting both safety and comfort throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
