Job Description Position: Grill Cook, Line Cook, and Dishwasher Reports to: Chef Classification: Nonexempt, hourly Compensation: Line Cook – Guaranteed $21–$26/hr ($16.50 Base + Tip Makeup). Higher pay may be offered only to candidates who demonstrate leadership, exceptional skill, work ethic, and consistency after training. Raises are available for top performers over time. Hours: Part-Time, Full-Time Mini Kabob is a small, family-run restaurant with a big reputation. We care deeply about the food we serve and the people we serve it to. Our kitchen is fast-paced, hands-on, and every team member matters. Our restaurant is only 299 sq ft, so space is tight and the team is tighter. You’ll be working directly with the Martirosyan family in the kitchen. This role covers kabob grill cook, line cook, and dishwasher duties. Flexibility is key — we all pitch in wherever needed. Grill Cook Duties • Grill chicken, beef, pork, and lamb kabobs over an open flame to perfection., • Handle proteins marinated in traditional Armenian and Egyptian family recipes., • Manage tickets and keep food coming out on time., • Keep the grill station clean, stocked, and organized., • Prep fresh salads and make house vinaigrettes., • Plate salads and entrees with consistency and attention to detail., • Skewer meats, poultry, and vegetables for grilling — following traditional techniques., • Wash and sanitize skewers, dishes, pots, pans, and tools., • Keep dish area clean and organized., • California Food Handler’s Card required., • On your feet all shift — standing, walking, bending, reaching., • Regularly lift up to 35 lbs (heavier items with help)., • Work directly over a hot open flame grill (600-700°ree;F) for extended periods., • Occasionally work near cold storage., • Fast-paced, high-energy kitchen with constant team communication., • Moderate noise from equipment and team conversations.
