We're looking for skilled, dependable Seasonal Line Cooks for Worlds of Fun to help prepare delicious, high‑quality meals that keep the energy high and the smiles coming. From sizzling grill items to grab‑and‑go favorites, you'll help execute our menu with consistency, speed, and a commitment to safety and cleanliness. If you enjoy working behind the scenes to create great food moments in a fast-paced environment, this is the summer role made for you. What You'll DoFood Preparation & Cooking • Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and safety protocols, • Maintain proper food temperatures, storage, and handling throughout each shift, • Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, warmers, and prep tools, • Ensure food presentation meets park standards before items are servedKitchen Operations & Efficiency, • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times, • Keep up with production levels during peak traffic periods, • Assist with prep work including chopping, slicing, portioning, and station setup, • Communicate with teammates to keep food flowing quickly and accuratelySafety, Sanitation & Show Quality, • Follow all food safety guidelines-including glove use, labeling, dating, and HACCP procedures, • Uphold park "show standards" by maintaining clean counters, equipment, and prep spaces, • Comply with all health department regulations and internal sanitation protocols, • Perform routine cleaning tasks including wiping surfaces, washing utensils, sweeping, and moppingTeamwork & Guest Support, • Work closely with Food Service Associates, Supervisors, and Managers to support smooth operations, • Assist with restocking inventory, rotating products, and receiving deliveries, • Support special events, catered meals, and large group food operations, • Provide basic guest service when needed, such as answering food questions or assisting the service lineWhat You Bring, • Must be 16 years old or older, • Experience in a kitchen or quick-service food environment preferred (but willing to train!), • Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handlers Permit, • Must have or be willing to obtain ServSafe training, • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and safety procedures, • Strong time‑management skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment, • Good communication, teamwork, and a positive attitude under pressure, • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a warm kitchen environment, • Commitment to food quality, consistency, and cleanlinessYou'll Love This Role If You're..., • Someone who takes pride in preparing good food, fast, • A behind‑the‑scenes team player who loves the energy of a busy kitchen, • Focused, efficient, and reliable, • Happy to keep your station clean and organized, • Excited to learn or grow food-service and culinary skills in a fun, dynamic environmentPerks of the Park, • Hands-on kitchen experience in a high-volume environment, • Opportunities to grow into cook, lead, or supervisory roles, • Free park admission, • Employee only events and ride nights, • Uniforms Provided, • Paid Training, • A job with great teammates, lively energy, and amazing food smells all shift long
