The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures and insurance guidelines from claim submission to payment collection, Medical Biller/Collector must have experience in handling insurance denials and appeals. Job is not remote. Responsibilities • Timely submission of claims to variety of insurance payers including PPO's, HMO's, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and CalOptima., • Follow up unpaid claims and work toward resolution., • Resolve billing discrepancies.Qualifications, • Must have 2+ years of experience in a hands on Medical Billing/Collection position., • Strong organizational and communication skills., • Be able to time manage and take direction., • Strong computer skills, EMR Skills, • Experience with HMO, PPO, and state payors., • Experience with claim appeals and aging accounts.
