Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled and proactive Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is vital for ensuring accurate billing processes, resolving insurance claims, and maintaining patient documentation. As a Contract-to-permanent position, it offers flexible afternoon and evening hours in a collaborative healthcare environment. Responsibilities: • Manage patient billing and insurance claims efficiently using Lytec and TriZetto platforms., • Handle insurance payments, address denial issues, and perform follow-ups on aged accounts to secure timely reimbursements., • Maintain detailed and accurate records in paper charts while assisting with filing and organizational tasks., • Draft and send correspondence, including insurance and medicolegal reports, adhering to company standards., • Collaborate with physicians and staff to prepare annual wellness reports and other patient documentation., • Leverage Microsoft Office tools for scheduling, reporting, and administrative tasks., • Coordinate with medical records personnel and the nursing team to ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements.• Proven experience in medical billing and collections within a healthcare setting., • Strong knowledge of medical coding, including ICD-10 standards., • Proficiency in handling insurance denials, appeals, and hospital billing processes., • Familiarity with Lytec and TriZetto billing platforms., • Competence in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook., • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail., • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams.
