Job Description HHM Talent is assisting a client in their search for an Automotive Controller to oversee accounting operations across two rooftops in South Charlotte. Position Overview This position will lead the day-to-day accounting function for two dealerships with a combined volume of approximately 150 units per month. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical accounting strength and the ability to mentor and develop an existing team. Key Responsibilities • Oversee all accounting operations for two dealership locations, • Manage and review month-end close, with a target of completing within 5 days, • Ensure accuracy of financial statements and compliance with dealership accounting standards, • Supervise a team of 5 including biller, title clerk, AP, cashier, and receptionist, • Train, mentor, and develop current staff to improve performance and efficiency, • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and processes, • Partner with dealership leadership and the Regional Controller on financial performance and reporting, • Opportunity to step into a stable team and focus on development rather than hiring Qualifications • Prior automotive Controller or Assistant Controller experience required, • CDK DMS experience preferred, not required, • Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor accounting staff, • Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and close process Compensation & Benefits • Salary: up to $150k, • Relocation assistance available up to $10,000, • Medical, Dental, Vision, • 401k Savings Plan, • Paid Time Off, • Employee Assistance Program, • Basic Life Insurance, • Comprehensive Employee Recognition Programs, • Career Training, Development, and Mentorship Programs, • Employee Discount on Purchases
