Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Billing Manager EMPLOYER: Metroplex Medical Centres DEPARTMENT: Business Office REPORTS TO: CEO EFFECTIVE DATE: 9/11/2025 SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Billing Manager to oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle for our growing primary care physician group. This role is responsible for managing billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely claims submission, and optimizing reimbursement across multiple payers. This position plays a key role in maintaining financial health of the organization by reducing denials, improving collections, and ensuring billing practices are efficient, accurate, and patient-friendly. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee day-to-day billing operations for the physician group. Including charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up., • Ensure claims are submitted accurately and on time to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payers., • Monitor and manage claim denials, rejections, and appeals to maximize reimbursement., • Review aging reports and take action to reduce outstanding accounts receivable., • Supervise, train, and support billing staff, including setting performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback., • Work closely with front office and clinical staff to resolve billing issues, eligibility errors, and documentation gaps., • Ensure proper coding practices in collaboration with providers and coding staff (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)., • Stay current on payer policies, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements., • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors., • Prepare regular reports on billing performance, collections, and key revenue cycle metrics., • Manage patient billing inquiries and help resolve complex account issues when needed., • Support audits and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations., • Assist with credentialing and payer enrollment processes as needed., • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:, • Lead and manage the billing team, including billers, AR specialists, and payment posting staff., • Set performance expectations and monitor productivity, accuracy, and turnaround times., • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, coaching, and annual performance evaluations., • Address performance issues and implement corrective action plans when needed., • Partner with leadership to align team goals with organizational financial targets.QUALIFICATIONS:, • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred., • 3–7+ years of medical billing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role., • Experience with primary care billing, including evaluation and management (E/M) coding., • Family Practice experience preferred., • Experience using EHR and practice management systems.
