Job Description Broad Statement of Responsibilities The Clinical Manager provides leadership and oversight for clinical services, including case conceptualization,managerial supervision, and direct care delivery. This role is accountable for the overall quality of care, outcomes management, staffing, and service levels within the assigned clinical team. The Clinical Manager ensures appropriate and effective staffing for all clinical programming, including group and individual sessions. Working in partnership with operations, compliance, and revenue cycle management, the Clinical Manager champions quality improvement, maintains adherence to service-level standards, and drives positive patient outcomes. These individual supports program development under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer and Leadership. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Clinical Manager provides individual and group counseling services to patients and families. They lead an interdisciplinary team in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for each patient. Education & Experience The position requires a Graduate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution, with appropriate licensure for the location of practice. Minimum five years of clinical and three years of supervisory experience in mental health and/or substance use settings. Must have expertise in clinical supervision and experience providing individual, group, and family therapy. Dual credentials in addiction counseling and mental health practice (or equivalent) preferred. Relevant work experience and education may also be taken into consideration. Special Skills & Knowledge Candidates should have the following skills and attributes: must be able to work and communicate well with people; be adaptable, and accept changes quickly and easily; be willing to address conflict appropriately. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Routine mobility to include standing, stooping, bending, lifting, walking and running., • Regularly required to sit and work at a phone/computer work station Essential Requirements • High moral and ethical values, • Willingness to be open to learning and growing, • Articulate, with interpersonal skills to work as an integral part of a team., • Appropriate interpersonal/personal boundaries, • Maturity of judgment and behavior, • Emotional Intelligence, • Ability to remain flexible to accommodate changes in work schedule., • Adapts effectively to new situations., • Oversee clinical service delivery and ensure smooth transitions across the continuum of care (e.g., residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient)., • Manage client census, admissions, and assignments to ensure appropriate utilization of services., • Conduct and supervise clinical assessments for admissions; review psychosocial data to inform treatment planning., • Oversee program scheduling and maintain appropriate staffing levels for all therapeutic services., • Support program development and contribute to curriculum design for psychoeducation, process groups, and evidence-based programming., • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, professional partners, and multidisciplinary teams., • Represent the organization at professional events, educational seminars, and community programs., • Assist with creating marketing and educational materials (e.g., articles, self-assessment tools, family resources) to communicate program offerings., • Provide effective leadership, role modeling, and clinical supervision to therapists, addiction counselors, and mental health professionals., • Conduct regular supervision to support professional growth, licensure requirements, and adherence to best practices., • Complete performance evaluations (90-day, annual, and as needed) within established timelines., • Manage staff schedules, PTO requests, and coverage to ensure consistent service delivery., • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture., • Oversee and ensure the timely, accurate, and thorough completion of all clinical documentation., • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and applicable regulatory requirements, • Monitor records for quality and completeness, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge documentation., • Conduct periodic chart reviews and address documentation issues proactively., • Provide individual, family, and group therapy as clinically indicated., • Facilitate psychoeducational, process-focused, and specialty groups., • Deliver evidence-based interventions and provide systemic clinical guidance to support patient and family progress., • Facilitate interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and ensure accurate documentation of recommendations., • Maintain regular communication with referral sources regarding client progress and discharge planning., • Provide ongoing training and skill development opportunities for the clinical team., • Complete all required initial and annual training, including consumer rights, confidentiality, ethics, CQI, and other assigned topics., • Stay current with evidence-based practices and contribute to the development of clinical treatment guidelines.
