Summary: The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for performing skilled maintenance, repair, and preventive work throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and operational facilities. This position works closely with all departments—including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Front Office—to maintain a safe, efficient, and guest-ready environment that exceeds company standards for quality and presentation. Compensation: $23.00-$25.00 hourly Schedule: • Schedule depends on Hotel’s needs Benefits Per Company Plan Details: • Medical, Dental, Vision, • 401k Matching Plan, • Life Insurance, • Hospital Confinement Plan, • Pet Insurance, • 3 Weeks of PTO Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance in all hotel areas, including guest rooms, kitchens, public spaces, and back-of-house operations., • Partner with Housekeeping to ensure prompt attention to room maintenance requests, preventive inspections, and quick turnaround of out-of-order rooms, • Collaborate with the Front Desk and Management teams to coordinate repairs and minimize disruption to guest experience., • Proactively identify maintenance and safety issues; report and document findings using the web-based maintenance system., • Maintain all maintenance areas and tools in a clean, safe, and organized condition in compliance with hotel and regulatory standards., • Handle and store hazardous materials safely and in accordance with all applicable regulations., • Ensure adherence to building, safety, health, and environmental codes and assist with inspections as needed., • Respond promptly to guest and associate maintenance requests with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency., • Provide training and guidance to Maintenance Technician I team members, assisting with more complex repairs and projects as assigned., • Perform any additional duties as requested by Leadership. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience required, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment., • Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems., • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and mechanical issues efficiently., • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate with multiple departments., • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented; capable of managing multiple priorities under limited supervision., • Demonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills, particularly in urgent or unclear situations., • Must be able to lift and carry heavy items, climb ladders, and work on feet for extended periods., • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays., • Basic computer proficiency required (work order and email systems).
