Job Descriptionmechanical installers $25/hr !!!Sharonville, Ohio Job Title: Mechanic Job Description Join a skilled team that outfits work trucks with high‑quality equipment and accessories. In this hands-on role, you install, assemble, and wire components such as beds, plows, tool boxes, lighting, and hydraulic equipment on light- and heavy-duty trucks, using blueprints and work diagrams to ensure safe, accurate, and reliable builds. Responsibilities • Install and assemble equipment on work trucks, including beds, plows, tool boxes, mud flaps, crane holders, ramp holders, and truck boxes., • Mount and securely bolt tool boxes and other accessories to the back and sides of trucks using proper torque and fastening methods., • Install and align tail lights and other lighting components according to specifications and safety standards., • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and diagrams to install hydraulic equipment and related parts on trucks., • Perform basic 12V wiring and electrical assembly as needed to support lights, accessories, and equipment., • Use hand, power, and air tools to assemble, adjust, and secure mechanical and electrical components., • Conduct thorough testing and inspections on all installed components to verify proper operation, fit, and safety., • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues during assembly and make necessary adjustments or repairs., • Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately using a tape measure and other measuring tools to meet build specifications., • Lift, move, and position parts and assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday., • Follow written work instructions and shop procedures to maintain consistent quality and productivity., • Work collaboratively with team members in both light-duty and heavy-duty bays to meet production goals and timelines., • Maintain a clean and organized work area and use tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Essential Skills • At least 2 years of mechanical aptitude or experience in a related field such as auto mechanic, diesel mechanic, military mechanic, industrial mechanic, construction heavy equipment operation, truck rebuilding, farm equipment repair, maintenance, machine building, or crane installation., • Ability to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and assembly diagrams., • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and air tools for mechanical and basic electrical assembly., • Ownership of basic hand tools, including SAE and metric socket sets (approximately 1/4" to 1" and 10 mm to 25 mm) and a 1/2" drive impact drill., • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure., • Capability to lift and handle up to 50 pounds on a regular basis., • Use of steel toe or composite toe safety shoes while on the shop floor., • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assemble, adjust, and secure components correctly., • Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical and simple electrical issues., • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with 12V wiring and electrical assembly is a plus., • Experience in hydraulic systems installation or repair is beneficial., • Prior experience working in a mechanic bay, truck upfitting, or equipment assembly environment is advantageous., • Comfort working on both light-duty and heavy-duty truck builds., • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other technicians., • Commitment to safety practices and consistent use of required personal protective equipment. Work Environment This is a full-time, day-shift position, typically working from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with opportunities in both heavy-duty (more experienced) and light-duty (assembler) areas. The role is based in a mechanic-bay-style shop environment where conditions can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, similar to a traditional truck or equipment service bay. Work is physically active and involves standing, bending, lifting, and working with hand, power, and air tools throughout the day. The facility focuses on truck upfitting and assembly, using mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical tools and equipment. Appropriate safety footwear, such as steel toe or composite toe shoes, is required, and standard shop attire suitable for a hands-on mechanical environment is expected. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sharonville, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
