Job Description JOB TITLE: Shift Manager (SM) SUPERVISOR: Assistant General Manager (AGM), General Manager (GM), Area Coach (AC) STATUS: Non-Exempt BASIC PURPOSE: Shift Managers are individuals who take accountability for restaurant operations while on duty. These individuals should be willing and able to motivate team members beyond their expectations to deliver 5-star customer service to both customers and colleagues. Shift Managers should be open to challenges and tackle any problems as they arise. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Customer Service: Provide 5-star service to all customers and ensure customer satisfaction is a top priority., • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and motivate team members to succeed. Job Description Lao Family Community Development, Inc. (LFCD) is a community development nonprofit agency established in the City of Richmond, Contra Costa County, in 1980. Today Lao Family has expanded its operations and service footprint to two additional counties, including Alameda and Sacramento. LFCD’s headquarters office is in Oakland, CA. It delivers programs and services from 7 locations in 35 languages. The agency provides both community development and real estate facilities, as well as a diverse array of workforce, education, and human services that directly support predominantly low-income, US-born, high-barrier families and individuals, refugees, immigrants, transitional-age youth, seniors, and other special populations, including individuals with disabilities. Job Summary: Under the direction of the Program Specialist, we are seeking a full-time, qualified Case Manager to provide rapid rehousing to eligible individuals who are homeless, as well as individuals and families, through the county’s homeless Continuum of Care (CoC) and Coordinated Entry System (CES), in compliance with CoC Program Models and Performance Standards. Rapid Rehousing Case Manager helps homeless individuals and families find and maintain stable housing. The Case Manager will connect clients with resources, develop housing plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure long-term housing stability. This role often involves close collaboration with other social service agencies and landlords. The ability to maintain a thorough understanding of the CalAIM program and leverage cross-sector partnerships to support positive housing and health outcomes for participants. Roles and Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and barriers to housing., • Develop individualized housing plans that outline goals, timelines, and necessary support services., • Assist clients in locating and securing suitable housing, including identifying available units, completing applications, and navigating lease agreements., • Connect clients with relevant community resources, including social services, employment assistance, mental health and substance abuse treatment, and healthcare., • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, track progress, and submit required reports to funders and other stakeholders., • Administer financial assistance for rent, utilities, and move-in costs, and help clients develop and manage budgets to maintain housing stability., • Collect and document participant data and services delivered into the County’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)., • Maintain all program-related documents for monitoring and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations under the project’s requirements., • Represent Lao Family Community Development (LFCD) at local collaborative community meetings, attend all the required training, employment-related meetings, or conferences as assigned, • Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Public Health, Human Services, or a related field; or relevant experience., • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience providing direct case management, care coordination, housing navigation, or social services to vulnerable populations., • Experience working with unhoused individuals, justice-involved populations, individuals with complex medical or behavioral health conditions, or low-income communities preferred. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, strengths-based case management, and person-centered service planning., • Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision; excellent communication, multi-tasking, community relations, networking, and public speaking skills., • Demonstrated ability to work with families, women, and children without discrimination towards people of diverse cultures, races/ethnicities, socio-economic positions, ages, religions, genders, physical/mental challenges/disabilities, and sexual orientations., • Understand, explain, and apply complex local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures., • Able to travel to meet with service providers and participants; ability to work independently as well as part of a team; must have a flexible schedule on evenings and weekends., • Proficient in computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database management, and Internet Explorer., • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire, and pass a background check.
