Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Fremont, California. This is a long-term contract opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to apply their expertise in general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid background in accounting processes, and the ability to handle complex data-driven tasks with precision. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end close activities, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements., • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards., • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, including payroll reporting and profit-sharing calculations., • Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, to analyze and manipulate financial data., • Generate audit schedules and maintain organized documentation for reviews., • Calculate revenue using system data and ensure the maintenance of accurate financial files., • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively., • Collaborate on Workday testing initiatives to support system functionality improvements., • Leverage Paycom data to create entries and reconciliations as needed., • Contribute to financial operations within the healthcare industry, if applicable.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field., • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a preference for 5-10 years., • Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate pivot tables., • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations., • Experience with payroll reporting and profit-sharing calculations., • Familiarity with Paycom or similar payroll systems is highly desirable., • Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a plus., • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
