Fennemore has an exciting opportunity in our San Diego, California office for a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant to join our growing firm. This role is integral to the success of our attorneys and clients, requiring exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with litigation experience, a passion for client service, and a commitment to excellence. What You'll Do: • Provide litigation support, including heavy calendaring, docketing, and scheduling., • Online research (Pacer and other court filings, agency databases, etc.)., • Coordinate conflict checks and assist with retention letters., • Answer telephone calls and transmit messages to attorneys, paralegals, and staff., • File and organize legal documents and correspondence under the general direction of paralegals and attorneys., • Maintain an internal/personal docketing system and follow up on requests made by attorneys, paralegals, and clients., • Prepare indexes, file backers, labels, electronic closing binders, and trial/case notebooks., • Submit court filings, including e-filing., • Coordinate the completion of various projects with other firm departments as needed., • Help create a welcoming, professional environment for colleagues and clients alike, and, • Other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring: • Minimum 5+ years of legal administrative assistant experience in litigation., • Experience in bankruptcy law is advantageous., • Adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality and the ability to carefully handle and protect sensitive information., • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several projects to completion on a deadline., • Ability to work independently and take initiative., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • A flexible mindset and positive approach to problem-solving., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), DocuSign, Adobe/Kofax; experience with iManage and Intapp a plus., • High school diploma or equivalent. ✨ At Fennemore, we foster inclusion, collaboration, and innovation — and we're proud to be a place where you can do your best work, feel valued, and make an impact.
