Job Description The Simulation Operations Specialist provides operational and comprehensive technical support for the clinical simulation suite and skills lab for the nursing program. The position is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the suite which involves technical and hands-on support for the preparation and delivery of simulation equipment, manikins, and related technologies and software. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Sets up, programs, tests, and runs scenarios and events with simulation faculty, including trial runs to identify gaps and adjustments required for operation of different simulator technologies ranging from anatomic models and full body patient simulators, and standardized patients, • Prepares, sanitizes, maintains, and ensures functionality of high-fidelity manikins, task trainers, and related multimedia peripherals; prepares and applies moulage - simulated injuries, wounds, bruising - to standardized patients and simulators., • Operates and critically troubleshoots simulation equipment malfunctions and technology issues; identifies problems, takes action to resolve in a fast-paced environment.
