About the Role: GENISCi Health & Wellness is seeking dependable, kind-hearted, and Certified Health Aides to deliver non-medical personal care and companionship in clients’ homes or care facilities. As part of our integrated care team, you’ll help preserve dignity, independence, and quality of life — providing hands-on support through a whole-person, relationship-driven model of care. What We Offer: • Competitive Pay: Hourly rates based on experience and availability, • Flexible Shifts: 4 to 12-hour shifts available (days, evenings, weekends), • Health Insurance Options, • Ongoing Training & Career Growth, • Employee Recognition Program, • Consistent Assignments: Build trusted, lasting client relationships, • Safety First: PPE provided for every shift, • Meaningful Work: Help clients manage aging or chronic health conditions with compassion Key Responsibilities: • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including:, • Bathing, grooming, and toileting, • Dressing and ambulation, • Feeding and meal preparation, • Transfers and mobility assistance, • Provide light housekeeping and laundry related to the client’s care, • Offer medication reminders per the care plan (no administration), • Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, or environment, • Follow individualized care plans created by the supervising nurse, • Complete timely and accurate documentation of services provided, • Maintain client privacy, dignity, and safety at all times Compliance Note (Scope of Practice): Home Health Aides may not perform: • Sterile dressing changes, • Enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, catheterization, enema administration, • Medication administration, • Wound irrigation or colostomy care These and other skilled services must be performed by licensed clinicians and are not within the aide’s authorized scope. Qualifications: • Required: Active HHA certification or CNA license recognized by the Virginia Board of Nursing, • Preferred: Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program, • Experience: At least 1 year of caregiving experience in home care, assisted living, or similar, • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, • Must pass background check, TB screening, and meet all VDH personnel qualifications Working Conditions: Contact clients in their living environment. May be required to respond in an emergency. Travel is required. Position includes tasks that have a medium risk of exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues. Personal Protective Equipment: May include gloves, masks, eye protection, CPR shield, and disposable outer covering. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
