Job Description Housekeepers play an essential role in preserving the elegance, comfort, and well-being of our boutique active adult living community. With a hospitality-driven approach and exceptional attention to detail, this position ensures that culinary uniforms are cleaned/pressed, resident apartments and all community spaces are impeccably maintained, reflecting the refined standards of a luxury living environment. Housekeepers serve as trusted stewards of residents’ homes and shared spaces, demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and respect at all times. This role is strictly non-caregiving and operates in full compliance with California Title 22 regulations, company policies, and all applicable health and safety standards. Rate of pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on prior experience Schedule: Saturday - Wednesday; 9:30 am - 5:30 pm Key Responsibilities • Wash, dry, iron and hang front of house culinary uniforms for our Varenna and Villa Capri culinary team on a weekly. Occasional sewing required., • Maintain resident apartments, common areas, offices, and amenity spaces to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort consistent with a boutique luxury community., • Uphold all housekeeping practices in compliance with California Title 22, local health department regulations, and company policies., • Follow approved infection control, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment., • Assist with the preparation, setup, and cleanup of special events, ensuring all spaces meet elevated aesthetic and service expectations., • Collaborate with the Maintenance Director and Housekeeping Supervisor to support environmental safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance., • Maintain housekeeping storage rooms, carts, and supply areas in a clean, organized, and inspection-ready condition at all times., • Observe and promptly report unsafe conditions, maintenance concerns, or unusual observations to appropriate leadership in accordance with company policy, without providing direct resident care., • Respond to resident requests courteously, promptly, and professionally, escalating concerns to leadership when appropriate., • Respect resident privacy, dignity, and personal preferences while working in private living spaces., • Support emergency preparedness protocols and comply with the Illness and Injury Prevention Program (IIPP)., • Foster a welcoming and gracious community atmosphere through respectful interactions with residents, families, guests, and coworkers., • Perform other related duties as assigned to support community operations and service excellence., • Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements • Minimum of three (3) years of professional housekeeping experience; luxury hospitality, resort, or senior living experience strongly preferred., • Working knowledge of hospitality-grade cleaning techniques, equipment, products, and safety practices., • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, policies, and regulatory requirements., • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts, to support a 24/7 community., • Successful completion of all required background checks, fingerprinting, and health screenings (including TB testing) in accordance with California regulations.
