About the RoleThe Licensed Clinical Therapist is responsible for conducting diagnostic assessments, providing therapeutic counseling, and developing individualized treatment plans to support ongoing client care. This role collaborates closely with clinical leadership and participates actively in treatment planning, documentation, and continuous professional development. Part-TimeContractor Key Responsibilities • Build positive, trusting rapport with clients., • Conduct diagnostic assessments and treat mental health and substance use disorders., • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with client needs., • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions., • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary., • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation., • Refer clients to internal services or external specialists when needed., • Maintain confidentiality and follow all safety protocols., • Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical supervision., • Communicate with psychiatrists, NPs/PAs, and other clinicians regarding client progress., • Complete required trainings, including ethics, confidentiality, CPR/First Aid, motivational interviewing, infectious disease protocols, and evidence-based practices., • Develop collaborative relationships with referring agencies, caseworkers, and community partners., • Strong foundation in psychology, therapy, and counseling principles., • Excellent active listening, communication, and critical-thinking skills., • Compassionate, empathetic, and able to engage with diverse client populations., • Knowledge of documentation standards and strong writing ability., • Familiarity with federal confidentiality laws and client rights., • Ability to manage time effectively and maintain professionalism at all times., • MA/MS degree in Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field., • Minimum 2,000 hours of counseling experience and 300 hours of substance-abuse-related education., • Must hold active North Carolina licensure such as LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, LPCC, or similar., • Must be certified with the NC Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (LCAS) or eligible., • Office setting; routine use of computer systems.
