Job Description Lab Technician Job Description Under limited supervision, you will conduct in-process and finished product testing to ensure products meet established quality and purity specifications. Responsibilities • Conduct laboratory tests and analyze data for production, pollution control, quality control, and minor research purposes., • Test and analyze products such as flour to determine if they meet plant specifications before release., • Release in-spec vessels and report out-of-spec vessels., • Test and analyze production samples and report any uncharacteristic results., • Document test results and readings in logbooks and Total Lab Client (TLC) system., • Complete certificates of analysis., • Prepare chemical solutions for laboratory use., • Maintain and calibrate all laboratory equipment and related field instrumentation., • Adhere to all FDA, GMP, TTB, USP, EPA, OSHA, and company standards and guidelines., • Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements., • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously., • Good organizational skills., • Willingness to assume and learn new responsibilities., • Excellent communication skills., • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills., • Strong attention to detail., • Understanding and compliance with plant GMP and personnel practice requirements., • Proficiency with computer skills to utilize lab instrument operation programs., • Preferred: 2 or 4-year degree in science. Required: High school diploma or GED., • 2+ years of work experience in a quality assurance lab is preferred. This role operates within a small, tight-knit team of 5-10 lab technicians, fostering a great team culture. The position offers opportunities for permanent placement and pay advancement. The work hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM, with set shifts and flexibility for swapping or picking up hours. The lab maintains high standards for safety, quality, and legality, requiring adherence to various regulatory guidelines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Buffalo, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
