Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Long Term Acute Care, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 09/29/2025, • Duration: 14 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – LTAC Float (Travel Contract) Facility: Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital (LifeBridge Health) Location: 2434 W Belvedere Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215 Start Date: September 29, 2025 Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Schedule: Every other weekend required Unit: Float Pool – LTAC (ICU step-down, BHU, LTC Vent Unit) Job Overview: Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital is seeking a skilled and flexible LTAC RN to float between critical sub-acute units including HICU, Brain Health Unit (BHU), and Burk 2 (LTC Vent Unit). This is a great opportunity for travel nurses to work with diverse patient populations in long-term acute care, ICU step-down, and ventilator management settings. First-time travelers welcome with minimum required experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Provide nursing care for patients requiring ICU step-down, ventilator support, or long-term behavioral/neurological rehabilitation., • Float between units:, • HICU: Intermediate ICU/Step-down (post-cardiac arrest, pneumonia, CVA, respiratory failure, etc.), • BHU: 60-bed neuro/behavioral health rehab unit, • Burk 2: Ventilator unit for chronic and complex respiratory patients, • Perform assessments, administer medications, manage ventilators, central lines, and provide wound and respiratory care., • Document using Cerner and manage telemetry monitoring as needed., • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning with respiratory therapists, PT, radiology, and pharmacy.Required Experience & Skills:, • Minimum 1 year recent LTAC, step-down, or acute care RN experience required, • 2 years ICU experience required for HICU, • Charge experience preferred, • Ventilator and telemetry skills required, • Must be able to float to HICU, BHU, and Burk 2, • First-time travelers acceptedLicenses & Certifications:, • Active Maryland RN License or Compact RN License (required at submission), • BLS – AHA (Required), • ACLS – AHA (Required), • Basic EKG – Relias Prophecy Exam (Required – pass/fail basis)Unit Details:, • Float Required: Yes (HICU, BHU, LTC Vent), • Orientation: 24 hours (Tuesday–Friday, attendance mandatory), • Observed Holidays (must be available): New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, • Blackout Dates (limited RTO approvals): Super Bowl Sunday, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, New Year’s EvePatient Population & Diagnoses:, • Adults & Geriatrics, • Respiratory failure, sepsis, CVA rehab, complex wound care, ventilator management, trach care, liver failure, GI bleeding, neurological disorders, psychiatric conditionsCharting System:, • Cerner (preferred)Skills Checklist (Preferred):, • Ventilator management, trach care, chest tubes, • IV therapy, central/PICC line management, • Stroke scale assessment, blood transfusions, • Complex wound care, tube feeding, ostomy care, • CVA, TBI, pancreatitis, pneumonia, sepsisFacility Details: Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
