Job Description SUMMARY: The MRO Inventory Specialist is responsible for all MRO and inventory functions, including oversight of counting, tracking, storage, and optimization of parts, materials, and equipment for the facility. Ensures availability of critical components to support plant operations and equipment reliability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Leads and owns the facility’s inventory management program, ensuring accuracy, organization, and accountability of all parts, materials and production inventory., • Coordinates, prepares requisitions, and purchases maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment., • Places parts into proper locations within eMaint and creates new locations as needed to maintain organization and traceability with the direction of the maintenance planner., • Conducts monthly cycle counts and leads year-end physical inventory., • Maintains optimal inventory levels by analyzing usage trends, monitoring critical spare parts, and adjusting reorder points to support operational uptime., • Maintains computerized and paper records and generates inventory reports using eMaint, ROSS, and others., • Enters data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments into eMaint, ROSS and other programs as required., • Arranges transportation and shipment of parts., • Maintains accurate and updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system., • Serves as the primary point of accountability for all daily stores activity, including issuing parts and managing storeroom operations., • Identifies and implements inventory control and process improvements to reduce costs, improve accuracy, and enhance parts availability. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or associates in supply chain, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred, • Two or more years’ experience in MRO spare parts management in food and beverage manufacturing environment or equivalent knowledge of other MRO inventory programs preferred., • Demonstrated experience owning or leading an inventory control function, including cycle counts, inventory accuracy, storeroom organization, and vendor management., • Strong understanding of inventory control systems, storeroom management practices, and ERP/CMMS platforms (eMaint, ROSS, or similar)., • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and procurement partners, both verbally and in writing., • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review usage trends, determine optimal inventory levels, and resolve discrepancies., • Functional negotiating skills with the ability to evaluate quotes, leverage vendor relationships, and support cost savings initiatives., • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability., • Proficiency with computers and electronic office equipment; comfortable learning new software and systems. Job DescriptionThis position is based out of our Louisville, KY, or Bardstown, KY office. What the Role Is The Buyer/Planner for External Manufacturing will be responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating the activities involved in purchasing materials, products, and services to ensure materials are available and services are aligned to meet planned deadlines. This role will examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs involving the movement, storage, and processing of inventory. How You Will Spend Your Time? • Work collaboratively with operations, marketing, and supply chain leadership to develop and maintain programs and processes designed to ensure excellence, • Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers, • Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales, • Assist in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures, • Maintain records of goods ordered and received and continuously improve reporting processes and implement automation where possible., • Participate in the development of specifications for products or substitute materials, • Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability, • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers, • Work with other Buyer/Planners to coordinate all material changes efficiently and effectively while minimizing obsolesce, • Prepare and process requisitions, purchase orders, and forecasts for supplies, equipment, and services., • Work closely with Production/State Registration/Marketing/Customer Service on State Code Panel approvals, • Management of off-site inventories, • Coordinate cycle counts for responsible materials. Align processes to ensure inventory accuracy., • Analyzing and evaluating inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, • Coordinating timely deliveries with suppliers, • Maintenance of IFS inventory items and planning parameters Required Skills and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent years of experience., • Minimum 3 years of Materials Management or Procurement experience., • Proficient computer skills with experience utilizing Microsoft products, enterprise resource planning software (ERP), inventory management software, and database software., • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar)., • Solid understanding of best practices for data visualization and storytelling with data., • Experience in creating automated reports and dashboards that improve efficiency., • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods., • Knowledge of transportation principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits., • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems., • Ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions., • Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one., • Proven communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and personalities at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally., • Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify, resolve complex data/problems and deliver clear insights., • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job, and successfully and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines., • APICS Training Certification, • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Products and Enterprise Resource Planning software The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Please see job description below: GENERAL SUMMARY: Directs, plans, organizes, manages, and provides direction and oversight for all functions and activities of TARC’s Planning Department, which includes developing plans and service of the transit system, service days, routes, and frequency of service in the most cost-effective manner possible while maintaining a standard of adequate and safe service; oversees the processes used to determine ridership impacts, route productivity, and performance and cost analysis by collecting and analyzing data and developing studies, reports, and presentations; evaluates operational aspects of planned bus services and schedules; and leads major planning efforts such as TARC long-range plan, mobility studies, bus rapid transit implementation, corridor plans, and major service adjustments including public involvement process. This position will support a safety and customer service culture through programs, procedures, and other related work to achieve TARC’s mission and strategic outcomes. The position is responsible for meeting or exceeding all TARC policies and procedures with strict adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations; and performing related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assistant Director of Planning, Transit Scheduler, Transportation Planner, Transit Planner/Data Analyst ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Directs and manages organizational-wide planning programs and projects., • Develops, directs, and coordinates the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards for the TARC's current and long-range planning analysis of transit use by bus and light rail, transportation plans, routine development plans, and regional general plans., • Manages and leads planning, scheduling teams, and consultants on planning projects., • Oversees public support activities by developing strategies related to community engagement, coordinating staff participation and attendance; participating on special study panels and working groups; providing testimonies on transportation projects at meetings, and serving as the department representative for outside agencies., • Plans and schedules TARC’s services by analyzing and determining public transit requirements; effectively balancing service levels, passenger needs, and budget constraints all while remaining compliant with Title VI requirements., • Manages the development and implementation of bus routes and schedules and oversees the evaluation of route performance., • Manages contracts for experimental services, pedestrian access, shelter maintenance, and various other service contracts., • Manages and administers various grants including but not limited to INDOT PMTF (Public Mass Transit Fund) and monitoring service and provide data and reports for CMAQ and other grants; ensure timely and appropriate reporting., • Oversee the collection and monitor quality of ridership data associated with Federal Section 15 reporting requirements., • Manages the On-Street Infrastructure Program by supporting and coordinating the production, distribution, and presentation of transit information (for internal and external audiences)., • Promotes development patterns that support transit service and other Transit Oriented Designs with property developers and government agencies., • Represents TARC before federal, state, and local governmental agencies in regard to service or grant-related activities; collaborates with community and business groups to plan and develop transportation services., • As needed, participates in assigned TARC Board of Directors subcommittee meetings and makes presentations to the Board., • Provides supervisory responsibilities by monitoring department workload for efficiency, conducting annual reviews of staff performance, finding opportunities for and conducting training, addressing staff questions and concerns, developing individual goals and objectives for staff members, and interviewing and hiring staff., • Manages and participates in the development and administration of the department's annual budget; directs the forecast of additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; directs the monitoring of and approves expenditures; directs and implements adjustments as necessary., • Monitors developments in legislation related to planning matters and evaluates their impact on TARC operations; recommends and implements policy and procedural improvements to meet legislative obligations., • Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in planning; researches emerging products and enhancements and their applicability to TARC’s needs., • Performs other job-related duties as requested. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in urban and transportation planning, or a closely related field; and, • Seven (7) years of professional-level experience in transit planning, operations, and scheduling, and three (3) years of management experience in planning., • Possession of, or ability to obtain a certified planners certification issued by AICP is preferred., • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Kentucky or Indiana Driver's License by the time of appointment and a satisfactory driving record. Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the above-stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.
