Job Description Position Summary: This position serves as the point person for Direct Care shifts (24 hours of operation include daytime, evening, overnight and weekend shifts). Work is generally performed on-site however tasks sometimes include leaving the property for meetings, community events, trainings, or picking up donations. This position supervises the Direct Care team on duty and verifies that shift workflows are completed accurately and timely, with particular attention paid to meal service, central services, safe overnight accommodations, and supporting the team on the shift. Position Responsibilities: Assist with coordination of meal service Train new staff and volunteers on shift workflows Support on Direct Care staff each shift by guiding them through tasks and problem solving Model excellent customer service to clients, staff, volunteers, and other external constituents Ensure all departments complete their assigned tasks Make sure that clients have access to available services such as meals, central hall support services and safe facility accommodations Coordinate daily tasks with staff and assist where necessary Oversee volunteers, work study students and community service workers Attend monthly staff meetings, supervisor meetings, and scheduled trainings Assist with picking up donations outside of main building Model professionalism in the workplace Understand, practice, and teach boundaries and de-escalation Have a clear understanding of the mission and strive to fulfill it through service to our staff, clients, and volunteers Actively support the culture and values of The Kearney Center Practice the values of dignity and respect with clients, coworkers and community partners Education and Experience: At least 1 year experience with crises intervention, medical assistance, and/or homelessness services preferred 2 years of supervisory experience required High school diploma or equivalent Licensing or Certification: Valid Driver’s License or dependable transportation when and where public transportation is not available.
