Job Description Branch Manager Charleston Grounds Management – Charleston, SC Full-Time | Hands-On Leadership Role | Minimum 60 Hours/Week Required Charleston Grounds Management is a fast-growing leader in Commercial Landscape Maintenance, Enhancements, Irrigation, Chemical/Turf Programs, and Aquatics across the Charleston region. We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager who will also serve as the Operations Manager for the branch—leading the team, driving quality, and ensuring our properties meet the highest standards every single day. This is a hands-on role, requiring daily field presence, coaching, training, and operational oversight. You will lead the branch, supervise Account Managers, manage production for all divisions, and ensure we deliver exceptional service for every property. What You’ll Lead As the Branch Manager you will oversee all branch operations including: Leadership & Team Management • Direct oversight of Account Managers, and Production/ Quality, • Daily hands-on training with crews and managers, ensuring work meets CGM quality standards (turf, detail maps, pruning, edging, irrigation, etc.), • Enforce daily schedules, huddles, safety procedures, uniform policies, and operational discipline, • Manage and oversee Enhancement Crews as well as any Account Manager accounts due to vacancies, time off, new accounts, etc., • Manage and oversee Irrigation and Chemical techs as well as their daily schedule Operational Oversight • Start each day onsite (at Branch Location) at 6:00 AM and ensure huddle starts at 6:30 AM, • Run daily huddle and training to ensure production metrics are achieved, • Manage routing, schedules, equipment readiness, and adherence to detail cycles, • Oversee Aspire use for work tickets, site audits, communication, estimates, and property documentation, • Ensure all receipts, PRs, timesheets, and financial documentation are submitted accurately Client & Property Management • Support Account Managers on site walks, proposals, enhancement opportunities, and client communication, • Ensure weekly site audits are completed correctly and consistently, • Participate in client meetings, renewals, and quality reviews Production & Quality Control • Monitor hours, budgets, and productivity through Aspire, • Ensure crew performance, safety, job quality, and completion of daily tasks, • Handle weather-related decisions and ensure continuity of work on wet ground days End-of-Day Responsibilities • Be outside with managers as trucks return/ unloaded and set for the following day, • Ensure gates, shop, materials, equipment, and facilities are secured Required Experience To be considered for this role, candidates must have: ✔ Multiple years of experience as a Commercial Landscape Account Manager ✔ Strong Aspire software experience (estimates, site audits, budgets, production tracking) ✔ Enhancement project experience (upsells, proposals, execution) ✔ Irrigation experience, including 2-wire systems ✔ Chemical/Fertilization experience and understanding of turf programs ✔ Hands-on field leadership background—training crews, working properties, problem-solving on site This Role is NOT an Office-Only Position This is a hands-on operational leadership role requiring: • Minimum of 60 hours per week (standard expectation), • Daily field work with crews and managers, • Full responsibility for the branch’s operations, training, quality, and performance What You Bring • Proven leadership in commercial landscaping environments, • Strong communication, coaching, and accountability skills, • Ability to manage multiple teams, properties, and tasks in a fast-paced environment, • High standards for quality, safety, and professionalism, • Ability to respond quickly to client needs, internal communication, and operational issues, • Ability to work early mornings and long days as needed, • Strong problem-solving abilities and operational efficiency mindset What We Offer • Competitive salary + performance incentives, • Healthcare options (available first of the month after 60 days), • 401(k) with company match, • Paid Time Off & Holidays | 7 Paid Holidays plus Christmas Week | 12 days PTO | plus additional sick time, • Career advancement within a rapidly growing company, • A strong team-focused culture About Charleston Grounds Management We are committed to delivering the highest level of commercial landscape service in the Southeast while providing an exceptional working environment for our team.
