Job DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition Specialist, reporting to the VP of HR, plays a key role in identifying, engaging, and hiring top talent to meet current and future workforce needs. This role requires a strong understanding of labor market trends and the ability to build and maintain talent pipelines through proactive sourcing strategies. The Specialist will partner closely with hiring managers, leverage multiple sourcing channels, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Responsibilities include resume review, candidate outreach, interview coordination, extending offers, and negotiating compensation. The role may also support onboarding and orientation activities. Key Responsibilities • Design and execute recruitment strategies to attract high-quality talent through job boards, social media, networking events, employee referrals, and other channels., • Proactively source active and passive candidates using online platforms, cold calling, networking, and other innovative methods., • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate the interview process while assessing candidate qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with role requirements., • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for current and future hiring needs, using the ATS and other tools to manage candidate data., • Partner with hiring managers to understand talent needs, refine job descriptions, and guide them through the recruitment process., • Support employer branding initiatives by creating compelling job postings, attending industry events, and promoting the organization as an employer of choice., • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience by ensuring timely communication, constructive feedback, and support throughout the hiring process., • Track, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions., • Ensure compliance with employment laws, EEO, and other regulatory guidelines in all recruitment activities., • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, continuously improving processes to attract and retain top talent., • Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, psychology, sales management, or related field; equivalent experience considered., • 2?4 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably within trucking, manufacturing, or other fast-paced industries., • Strong knowledge of EEO and affirmative action laws and guidelines., • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining productivity and quality., • Collaborative team player with experience contributing to employer branding and recruitment initiatives., • HR or recruiting-related certifications preferred but not required. #HOUWC46 #ZRCompany DescriptionAbout Burnett Specialists Burnett Specialists is a top-ranked, 100% employee-owned recruiting firm with over 50 years of expertise in connecting top talent with exceptional companies.
