Kitchen Manager Job SUMMARY Runs Great Shifts and run the kitchen on a daily basis - Knows How to Run the Show and Deliver Flawless Execution for Our Guests and Team, Today, Tomorrow, and Beyond. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Standards (Operations / Facilities) • KM - All Kitchen & Shift Responsibilities (Open or Close), • Daily Team Deployment & Routines, • Kitchen Prep Schedule / List - Prep & Pull, • Tastes food for quality and flavor (at least 2X per shift), • Flawless Food Recipe Execution, • Timing / Quality & Freshness of Drinks, • Hiring- Interviewing, Hiring & Onboarding, • Interviewing, Hiring & Onboarding, • Training - Initial / Cross-training / New Position, • Team Member Development, Practices & Follow-up, • Evaluations / Communication - 1 on 1, • Team’s Plan / Daily Development, • Daily Communication / Shift Hand-Off Success, • Restaurant Team Meetings, • Creates Energy & Great Vibe - Atmosphere, • Trains & Mentors S2 - Kitchen Supervisor, • Food Accountability, • Food Ordering / Waste & Yields / Par Levels / Variances, • Proper Receiving / Organization / Rotation, • Inventory Accountability / Food Cost - Daily & EOP, • Equipment & Tools - Care & Respect, • Guest Service & Feedback, • Ability to listen effectively & give / take direction, • Ability to work well under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines in a timely manner, • Comfortable with the Computer and the functions that are expected from a manager, • Good communication, organizational & time-management skills, • Ability to recognize problems and problem solve, • Ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce, • Ability to set goals and convert plans into action, • Must safely operate commercial equipment, • Must be able to work a flexible schedule The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
