Position Description Summary: Jacobsen|Daniels is seeking a Project Manager with demonstrated project management, terminal/landside planning, design and/or construction experience to support a variety of projects for Jacobsen|Daniels’ clients. Candidates should be self-motivated critical thinkers and have the capacity to work within a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will be capable of working individually and in team environments. Strong oral communication skills, including the capability to understand and follow oral and written communication, are also required. The Project Manager is responsible for executing, managing, and successfully delivering creative solutions for a range of projects within the Jacobsen|Daniels portfolio of projects. This position is expected to champion corporate values and assist in promoting a culture of high expectations and performance. This position may have supervisory responsibilities and regularly interface with staff, executive level management, client personnel and vendors. The Project Manager has primary responsibility for supporting overall project performance including understanding and reporting on costs, schedule, quality, and project status. This position involves liaison with company clients, design teams, airport management and staff, and key stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Manager is responsible for supporting the management of the technical and financial aspects of the contract. Requirements: Essential Functions of the Position: The Project Manager will report to the Vice President and will share and support the following responsibilities: • Overall terminal and landside planning, design support, and coordination with internal and external project teams., • Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to mutually agreed expectations., • Facilitate involvement of the project’s key stakeholders at appropriate levels and times., • Support team and client’s project administrative needs., • Contribute to the development of processes and tools that facilitate consistency and quality execution across airport planning and design support projects within the portfolio of J|D’s projects., • Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements; prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification., • Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule., • Supports change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, identify actions plans/tasks, and follows up with stakeholders to ensure success of project processes. Monitors project progress to determine risks to scope, budget, schedule, and work quality., • Provides technical services related to space programming, concessions programs,landside planning, forecasting of facility requirements, alternatives development, technical drawing development in AutoCAD and BIM environments., • Manages staff/resources to perform technical analyses to meet scopes of work and provides QA/QC of work products., • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders, • Liaise with governing authorities and regulatory agencies, • Establish and maintain project reporting procedures, • Support all facets of project close-out, • Must possess demonstrated ability in managing project design and/or construction components.[TG1] [CW2], • Abilities to facilitate productive meetings between stakeholders are highly desirable., • Additional preferred qualities and skills include superior organizational ability and strong process orientation, the ability to work with others in a team environment, and effective people skills;, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, etc., • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire., • Jacobsen|Daniels will not sponsor an employment visa for this position. A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Airport Management, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience with a strong preference for seven (7) years of work experience[CW3] . Must be able to understand and interpret construction and master schedules., • Must have the self-knowledge, character, and ability to function with minimal supervision., • Software/Office Equipment – proficient in/able to quickly learn computer software applications utilized to administer terms of the contract through project controls (e.g. MS Project, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, etc.), • Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events., • Planning/organizing – prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans, • Quality control— demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit for long periods, bend, use hands to manipulate (type), talk and hear; walk; sit, and lift or move no more than twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Mental Demands: While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information, and documents; analyze and solve problems, use math, and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or new skills; work under deadlines with occasional interruptions, and interact with staff and other organizations. Working Conditions: Primarily working in an office environment, a field office, or construction trailer as project’s warrant. May be required to travel occasionally as needed to satisfy company and client needs.
