Follow work instructions to complete the ISMECA production testing process. This includes monitoring inventory levels and lot control., • Monitors assigned machines using established parameters. Following work instructions, checks assigned parts at regular intervals. Inspects product continuously to maintain highest quality parts., • Keeps feeder bowls adequately filled. Monitor dryer and oven trays to maintain sufficient material for production run. Job Description Independence Village of Ankeny – Assisted Living and Memory Care Services Overview: • Location: Ankeny, IA, • Position: Certified Medication Aide (CMA), • Shift: 1st shift (6a-2p), 2nd shift (2p-10p), 3rd (10p-6a), • Paid Medication Manager training provided, • Compensated an additional $1.00/hour, • Incentive for active CNA license, • Up to $1,500 in Tuition Reimbursement, • Wages On-Demand – early access before pay day, • Free meals provided to staff, • Holiday Pay As a Medication Aide you will assist residents in administering their daily medication. Required Experience for Medication Adie: • High School Diploma or GED required., • Previous Healthcare, Geriatrics, Caregiving, or experience working with the elderly population preferred., • Ability to adjust to many types of personalities and situations., • Must have aptitude for dementia-related situations., • Realization that incompetence and errors may have serious consequences for residents., • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as be willing to assist residents based on what cognitive level they are experiencing., • Must be at least 18 years of age., • Must have current CPR and First Aid certification., • Must have CMA certification., • Must have a TB clearance. Responsibilities for Medication Aide: • Prepare and administer medication and treatments as ordered by physician in accordance with policy and procedures., • Verify identity of resident before administering medication or treatment., • Follow hand-washing policy for medication passing, universal precautions and infection control., • Order mediations, supplies, and equipment as necessary in accordance with established policy., • Remove expired or discontinued medications for cart and resident apartments as required in accordance with established procedure., • Ensure medication records are accurate for your shift and keys are always accounted for., • Review medication sheets for completeness and accuracy., • Report all discrepancies noted concerning physician’s orders, medication count or any other unusual situations and complaints regarding resident services and care to your immediate supervisor., • Chart and perform documentation duties are required in accordance with community policy and procedures., • Assist in admit, transfer and discharge of residents as requested., • Review charts for specific treatment, medication, diet orders, etc. as needed., • Notify nurse in charge of changes in resident condition, (including medication and treatment refusal)., • Make sure work areas (medication and treatment cart, medication room, nurse’s station, etc.) are maintained in a clean, sanitary manner., • Always show courtesy, respect and positive attitude to residents, family’s visitors and associates., • Report accidents and incidents observed on the shift they occurred. Report suspected abuse immediately., • Document important events in the 24-hour report., • Assist with activities of daily living., • Encourage the Social development of each resident., • Assist with light housekeeping including emptying the trash and changing linens., • Escort residents to and from dining areas for meals; assist with tasks related to dining as needed., • Perform any duties delegated by supervisor in order to maintain the self-respect, personal dignity and physical safety of each resident while adhering to the standards of Residents Rights and all applicable state, Federal and local licensing requirements and regulations. General Working Conditions: This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and push/pull equipment frequently. The employee is expected to possess good organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The employee must be compassionate and empathetic. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may frequently bend, reach, grasp, and climb. The employee may need to squat and kneel. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
