Job Description Position Title: Commercial Maintenance Technician Location: San Leandro, CA Clearance Requirements: None Position Status: Full-Time, 1st Shift (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience Position Description: Join a dynamic team as a Commercial Maintenance Technician, providing essential maintenance services across multiple commercial properties in San Leandro, CA. This role combines hands-on technical work with client-facing responsibilities, ensuring timely and effective maintenance solutions. Use your skills to perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, and deliver top-quality service. Travel to various customer sites with a company vehicle and tools, maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. You will apply your expertise in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, and more to keep facilities in excellent condition. Key Responsibilities: • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance as outlined in work orders., • Conduct minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing toilets, urinals, and faucets, and maintain sensors for automatic flush kits., • Execute routine painting, carpentry, and general maintenance to ensure facilities look and operate like new., • Carry out minor electrical repairs, including replacing fixtures, switches, outlets, and bulbs, in accordance with state law., • Complete service and asset inspections; utilize technology (tablet/smartphone) for documentation, reporting, and communication., • Procure necessary materials and supplies to complete assigned tasks efficiently., • Build strong, professional relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction., • Maintain daily communication with support teams and adhere to safety protocols through ongoing training and safety meetings., • Provide estimates for larger projects and services when required., • Assist with other duties as assigned to support operational excellence. Required Skills & Qualifications: • HS diploma, GED, or equivalent; relevant certifications or training in building trades preferred., • 2–5 years of maintenance experience in commercial or related environments, with skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building repair., • Valid driver’s license in good standing., • Ability to read and interpret safety policies, operating manuals, and work instructions., • Proficiency in using handheld devices, Microsoft Office, and digital documentation tools., • Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations related to maintenance activities., • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
