Job Description Job Title: QA/QC Inspector Job Description The QA/QC Inspector ensures that product quality specifications, processes, and installations meet all regulatory, company, and customer standards and requirements. This role focuses on monitoring and verifying the quality of Mechanical HVAC systems and related materials, both in fabrication and in the field, to ensure that all work is code compliant, properly documented, and aligned with project expectations. Responsibilities • Monitor quality standards for the installation of materials and products for Mechanical HVAC systems to ensure they are properly integrated into projects and fabrication processes., • Review shop fabrications and fabrication drawings for conformance with project drawings, specifications, and quality requirements., • Verify the installation of products and materials in the field to confirm that procedures are followed and that all work is code compliant., • Perform job walks and inspections at construction sites and fabrication facilities to ensure compliance with government regulations, OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and contractual specifications., • Consult with field and fabrication crews on proper testing procedures, and verify the accuracy and completeness of testing and inspection reports., • Document and communicate inspection results clearly and promptly to relevant stakeholders., • Identify non-compliant situations, recommend practical solutions, and follow through to ensure corrective actions are implemented and compliance is achieved., • Maintain and update various procedural documents, including continuity logs and code books, ensuring they remain current and accurate., • Review procedures for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company policies, and clarify procedural issues as they arise., • Conduct training as needed to support understanding and adherence to quality and procedural requirements., • Partner with superintendents to maintain resource licenses, including tracking expiration dates and coordinating renewals., • Review project equipment specifications and documentation to confirm alignment with quality and code requirements., • Secure specialty permits as required by project scope and jurisdictional regulations., • Inform management of potential quality, compliance, or safety issues in a timely manner and assist in developing mitigation strategies., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Approximately 5 years of progressive quality control experience or relevant experience covering all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, processes, and methods., • Hands-on Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience in a construction or fabrication environment., • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations as well as safety policies and procedures., • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, fabrication drawings, and schematic documents., • Proficient verbal and written communication skills to document findings and interact with project teams., • Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality and compliance issues., • Proficiency in MS Office and the MS Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication., • Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple inspections, documents, and project requirements., • Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in construction or fabrication settings., • Background in construction environments, including familiarity with field conditions and fabrication processes., • Experience using MS Office for tracking continuity logs, inspection records, and quality reports., • Ability to collaborate effectively with superintendents, crews, and project teams to align on QA/QC expectations., • Comfort reviewing project equipment specifications and securing specialty permits. Work Environment This role is based primarily in a distribution and modular manufacturing facility that is non-climate controlled, with regular visits to construction sites and fabrication facilities. You will work in active industrial and construction environments where you perform job walks, inspections, and on-site reviews of installations and fabrication work. The setting involves exposure to typical construction and manufacturing conditions, including noise, equipment, and varying temperatures. You will regularly use standard office technology and MS Office for documentation and reporting, while also working closely with field crews, superintendents, and project teams in both office and site-based settings. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Worth, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
