Position Location This position will be working out of either our Ontario, California or Los Angeles office. This position is eligible for hybrid (office/remote) working arrangement and flexible working hours. Job Summary The BIM Manager leads the planning, implementation, and execution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategies across project teams and studios. This role provides technical leadership, establishes and maintains BIM standards and workflows, ensures model quality and consistency, and supports teams through training, mentoring, and hands-on project engagement. The BIM Manager also oversees digital assets, cloud collaboration platforms, and technology initiatives to drive efficiency, innovation, and data-driven design throughout the firm. Position Responsibilities • Support project teams with BIM execution planning at project kickoff and key milestones, • Manage, mentor, and provide technical leadership to Project BIM Leads, • Advise project teams on appropriate Level of Development (LOD) and Level of Detail for deliverables, • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve standard BIM workflows and processes, • Ensure the ongoing reliability, performance, and consistency of all BIM projects within the assigned studio/office, • Perform regular model audits and lead quality control reviews in collaboration with project teams, • Coordinate with consultants to ensure optimal interoperability between architectural and consultant models, • Identify, develop, and maintain digital assets and detail libraries, including creation of custom content to support project teams, • Champion and support firmwide design and BIM applications, serving as a subject matter expert and advocate, • Promote the “Information” component of BIM by advancing data-rich models to support design intelligence, optimization, automation, simulation, and downstream AI initiatives, • Continuously elevate the inclusion, accuracy, and strategic use of metadata across projects, • Create software deployment packages and manage software licensing and cloud-based collaboration platforms, • Establish, track, and report metrics related to major technology initiatives, software utilization, and return on investment (ROI), • Design and deliver training programs ranging from Revit fundamentals to advanced workflows, • Develop and refine training materials and datasets that align with firm design standards and evolving information modeling practices, • Lead and/or contribute to technology-focused research and development initiatives and special projects, • Identify, evaluate, and track emerging technologies, software, and tools aligned with the firm’s mission, • Conduct hands-on evaluations of software, plug-ins, utilities, and web-based resources, • Collaborate with leadership and project teams to pilot, test, and refine new processes and deliverables, • Partner with project teams across all studios to identify, prioritize, and support BIM and technology engagement opportunities, • Administer, maintain, and manage firmwide Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) accounts and related project configurations, • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the AEC industry with working knowledge of all phases of professional services, from planning and schematic design through project close-out, • Strong design and technical background preferred, • At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing project-specific BIM workflows from project initiation through completion, • Experience in training program design and delivery, • Expert-level knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud and related BIM software, with a proven practical background, • Knowledge of the Revit API preferred, • Solid understanding of Navisworks, CAD applications, and industry best practices, • Familiarity with design and visualization tools such as Rhino, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, • Experience with Content Catalog (formerly UNIFI), Guardian, Ideate Software, Clarity, and Dynamo, • Strong verbal and written communication skills, • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities The actual salary offered for this position will vary depending on multiple factors including the candidate’s qualification, education, position knowledge, work experience, skills, ability, work location, and internal incumbent compensation for similar roles. We do not anticipate individuals hired into this position will start at or near the top half of the range listed; the decision will be based on each individual case. The salary range listed above does not include other compensation elements such as discretionary bonus opportunities, employee stock ownership grants, paid time off, medical insurance, and other wage and benefit opportunities.
