About the Role JPMS Distribution Center is looking for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Area Manager with experience overseeing the shipping/receiving activities and ensures that inbound & outbound shipments are processed in a timely and accurate manner. What You will Do: • Supervising and managing a team of shipping/receiving material handlers, shipping clerks, and shipping coordinators to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently., • Creating and implementing processes and procedures that promote efficient processes for shipping/receiving., • Creating and maintaining receiving records and documentation., • Inspecting incoming products or materials to ensure they meet quality standards and reporting any issues to the appropriate department or personnel., • Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels, • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies, • Communicate with carriers or JPMS Transportation Manager to coordinate shipments and delivery schedules, • Resolve any issues related to shipping and receiving activities, • Ensuring that all receiving and shipping areas are kept clean and organized., • Provide regular reports to senior management on inbound and outbound data, daily, weekly, and monthly KPI’s., • Facilitate and document employee training., • Ensure compliance with in-house and/or external specifications and standards to include HACCP and cGMP., • Develops, leads, and executes continuous improvement activities i.e., safety, cost/efficiency, and engagement., • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Education: • High school diploma or GED required Experience: · 7+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management in a warehouse or manufacturing setting required · 3+ years in managing a team of direct reports required · Experience with a WMS System Nice to haves: Education: • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, transportation and logistics, or supply chain management preferred Working Conditions • Warehouse and Office settings Physical Requirement: • Lifting and Carrying: The ability to carry items ranging from 25 to 50 pounds, sometimes heavier, with assistance., • Use of lifting equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) may be required., • Standing, sitting and walking: Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods (8–10-hour shifts)., • Bending, Reaching and Stooping: Frequently bend, squat, stretch, reach above the shoulders, and twist to access products or equipment., • Climbing: May need to climb ladders or use step stools to access higher shelves., • Pushing and Pulling: Push or pull carts, pallet jacks or bins (up to 100+ pounds in some cases)., • Manual Dexterity: Handle small tools, scan guns, label printers or computer tables., • Good Hearing and Vision: Hear alarms, safety signals or instructions in a noisy environment as well as read labels, signs or small text on screens., • Work Environment: May be exposed to extreme temperatures(hot/cold) loud noise, dust or chemicals., • Pace: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring quick, efficient physical movement and time management. Competitive Compensation: • The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education., • Discretionary Bonus Plan: This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
