About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. • Operate and drive different types of trucks, including tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers, • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations, • Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to traffic laws, • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage, • Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road, • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulationsMinimum Job Qualifications:, • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License, • 2 years of previous experience, • Must be 21 years of age, • Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical and 7-year background check; which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle review, • Must be able to verify and maintain accurate daily records, • Be able to lift up to 65 lbs. and push/pull 200 lb. recycling containersPreferred Job Qualifications:, • Extensively use hands and fingers to manage or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, • Frequently required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, speak and hear. Regular sitting on a powered industrial truck, • Frequently lift to fifty pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for extended periods of time, • Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, • Having a good sense of balance, • Having good eye-hand-foot coordination, • Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights, • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season, • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Normal work environment is outdoors, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.
