JOB SUMMARY The UCSF Facilities Services Department (FS) is committed to creating an exceptional campus physical environment to support the research, teaching, health care and community service mission of the University. Under the direction and general supervision of the Landscape Supervisor the incumbent performs a wide variety of skilled tasks which includes various types of landscaping and grounds maintenance including: irrigation installation, repair, and water management; planting of trees, shrubs, and groundcovers; pruning of trees and shrubs; lawn and groundcover care; landscape demolition and earth moving; refuse & recycling disposal; stocking and storing materials; maintenance of hardscape, site furnishings, and outdoor art work; minor repair and maintenance of tools & equipment; and other landscaping and grounds duties as instructed. The incumbent is expected to perform assignments under various weather conditions and various terrains including: stairs, forest trails, hills, slopes, and rocky foot paths. Candidates must have a MD and/or PhD degree, or an equivalent degree, be certified by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) and be licensed/eligible by the State of California to serve as the Histocompatibility Laboratory Associate Director. The laboratory serves a large solid organ and bone marrow transplant program at UCSF. Salary range: The UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment. See the following table for the current salary scale for this position: . The current full-time salary range for this position is $75,301 - $199,722. TSP hourly rate: $150-400. Starting salary will be commensurate with highest degree, past college-level teaching experience, relevant industry experience and equity within the department. Percent time: 17% -33%. Instructors teaching one course with three hours of lecture per week during the semester will normally be appointed at 33% time; exact percentages depend on contact hours and other assigned duties. This APP position will be an integral part of Movement Disorder and Neuromodulation division outpatient clinic visits. This discovery suggests that key aspects of animal gametogenesis may have predated the emergence of animals. The Research Data Analyst will work under the direction of Co-Directors of the Center for Biosignal Research (CBR) and report directly to the CBR Scientific Program Manager. The CBR at UCSF focuses on the study and clinical use of biosignals, or signals that can be continuously measured and monitored from the human body. Our areas of research broadly focus on improving biosignal analysis through signal processing and advanced algorithms, identifying predictors of adverse outcomes, using biosignals to improve physiologic understanding and leveraging these insights to improve patient care and reduce false alarms in bedside monitoring. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience with complex data analysis, in particular time-series data analysis, biomedical/clinical informatics, and/or signal processing, to develop and evaluate algorithms to interpret continuous bedside monitoring data, integrating additional clinical data such as electronic medical records when appropriate. Prior experience with clinical or biosignal data is preferred but not required. Example projects include the development of algorithms to improve alerting systems for clinically significant arrhythmias and other events, using monitoring data to predict patient trajectories within specific disease cohorts, or assessing the impact of changing alerting mechanisms on overall alarm burden in retrospective data.
