Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: • 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months., • Experience with Epic is preferred. Requirements: • Candidates must have a license (required after submission)., • This role may require floating to additional units and locations, • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local., • Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted., • No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - UNC Health. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Details: Required Credentials: - Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Preferred Skills/Experience: - NICU experience a plus. Unit Details: - Adult population. - Administers respiratory care including airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, basic bedside pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, arterial punctures, tracheostomy care, tracheostomy tube changes, endotracheal intubations, and extubations; may perform pulmonary function testing as needed. - Performs all aspects of ventilator care, including ventilator setup, function verification, specialized ventilator modes, patient monitoring, and weaning techniques. - When working with Carolina Air Care, may transport pediatric and neonatal patients from referral hospitals and perform advanced practice procedures including UAC, UVC, IV insertion, intraosseous insertion, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ABGs, and blood glucose monitoring. - When working with ECMO, may manage extracorporeal circulation for cardiac and respiratory support. - SERVO U ventilators; required experience.
