Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Associate – Picking, Packing, Shipping & ReceivingJob Description This role works in a warehouse environment handling a wide range of general labor tasks, with a primary focus on picking and packing athletic clothing products. You support the full shipping and receiving process, including loading and unloading, labeling, organizing inventory, and preparing orders to be sent to colleges across the country. Responsibilities • Perform all general warehouse functions, with a primary focus on accurate and efficient picking and packing of clothing products., • Load and unload trucks and containers safely, handling incoming and outgoing shipments., • Support the shipping and receiving process by verifying, staging, and organizing products for dispatch., • Label, sort, and organize shirts, gloves, shorts, and other athletic gear to maintain orderly inventory., • Use RF scanners and basic data entry to track inventory, orders, and product movement within the warehouse., • Handle material movement throughout the warehouse, including stacking, staging, and replenishing stock., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, following warehouse safety procedures and guidelines., • Collaborate with warehouse leads and supervisors to meet daily productivity, accuracy, and quality targets., • Adapt to changing workload demands, including seasonal spikes and project-based assignments., • Lift and move boxes and products weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.Essential Skills, • At least 1 year of warehouse experience, including exposure to general labor tasks., • Minimum of 3 months of experience in packing or packaging within a warehouse setting preferred., • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving activities., • Proficiency in picking and packing orders in a fast-paced environment., • Ability to safely load and unload products and materials., • Comfortable using RF scanners for inventory and order processing., • Basic data entry skills for recording and tracking product information., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift., • Reliability and willingness to work 1st shift hours from Monday to Friday., • Attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, organizing, and order fulfillment.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Entry-level candidates with solid warehouse exposure are encouraged to apply., • Experience with material handling and order picking is a plus., • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with a small warehouse crew., • Flexibility to take on seasonal or project-based assignments with potential for extension., • Willingness to work overtime during peak periods when product influx increases., • Comfort working with athletic apparel and related products., • Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting performance expectations, especially during the initial 3–4 months.Why Work Here? Work Environment You work in a smaller warehouse of approximately 300,000 square feet alongside a tight-knit team and onsite leads and supervisors. The role follows a 1st shift schedule: Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The warehouse experiences a busy season from summer through winter as sports gear sales increase, and an influx of products from other locations is expected, resulting in anticipated overtime opportunities. The setting is a typical warehouse environment focused on handling clothing and athletic gear, where you should be prepared for physical work, consistent lifting, and moving of inventory throughout the facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
