Position Summary: The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at Better U plays a key role in providing comprehensive mental health care services across multiple states. This position involves conducting psychiatric assessments, prescribing ketamine therapy, medication management, iand offering therapeutic interventions while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements. Your dedication contributes to the success of our program and the well-being of our patients. Qualifications and Essential Duties & Responsibilities: ● Licensure: Active state-licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (preferred California, New York, Texas, Florida, Kentucky, Alaska, Virginia, Illinois, Kansas, Georgia) ● Clinical Experience: At least one year of experience providing services as an NP or PA in a psychiatric setting. ● Psychedelic Therapy Knowledge: Understanding of the physical and psychological effects of psychedelics, with experience administering Spravato and integrating it into patient care. ● Patient-Centered Approach: Ability to establish deep rapport with a diverse range of individuals; demonstrate authenticity, empathy, warmth, and non-judgmental support. ● Growth-Oriented: Commitment to personal and professional growth with experience overcoming adversity and fostering resilience. ● Regulatory Compliance: Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience working with confidential information. ● Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team. ● Hybrid role - 10-15 hours per week in-office in West Hollywood ● Integrative Medicine Experience: Background in weight loss and alternative healing methods is a plus. ● DEA License: Active DEA license required for prescribing and administering psychedelic treatments. ● Room for growth! We're looking for more providers to be with us long-term and we invest in your success :) Compensation and Schedule: This role will involve approximately (40 hours total per week) with 20–30 hours of direct clinical care and 10–15 hours per week of administrative responsibilities, including: • Developing and refining new clinical protocols/initiatives, • Overseeing and supporting other clinicians on the team, • Collaborating on potential clinical trials in partnership with psychedelic and biotech companies to help advance breakthrough treatments such as ibogaine, psilocybin, LSD, and others., • $120,000 to $140,000 per year + benefits that include (PTO + Monthly Virtual Primary Care + EAP + 401K), • Okay with working 10-20 hours of work in-person at 8921 Sunset Blvd. West Hollywood CA 90069 Benefits and Work Environment: • State Licensing Fees Covered: Better U will consider covering state licensing fees to ensure you can focus on delivering excellent care for the additional states that we request (outside of the existing states that you currently service.), • 1 DEA license renewal per year, • Flexible Scheduling: Our scheduling allows you to balance this role with other commitments, ensuring a healthy work-life balance., • Supportive Team: Join a dynamic team dedicated to innovative healthcare solutions, where collaboration and support are valued.
