American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: ASAP, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Mar 30, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Work setting is a 32-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry unit (4 South) within a Level 2 Trauma Center, Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level 1 STEMI Center, • Patient population includes CHF, chest pain, arrhythmias (AFib, flutter, SVT), respiratory, renal, and hemodialysis patients; overflow patients include sepsis, urology, surgical, ETOH/drug withdrawals, isolation, and GI bleeds, • Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, • Patient ratios on nights are approximately 1:6–1:8, • Every other weekend required, • No on-call requirements, • Floating required as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit, • EMR: Epic, • Equipment includes lift equipment, bladder scanner, interpreter iPad, and BiPAP monitoring, • 13-week contractRequirements, • Active RN license in Missouri or meeting eligibility criteria for MO licensure (MO or Compact license required), • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment, • Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient cardiac telemetry experience, • Proficiency in reading telemetry rhythms, • Experience caring for CHF, chest pain, renal, and hemodialysis patients, • Experience with Amiodarone and Cardizem drips, • Experience with central lines including HD catheters, ports, and PICCs, • Valid U.S. Social Security Number required, • No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 monthsAdditional Information, • Fast-paced, high-acuity unit with dedicated monitor techs and telemetry monitors at each nursing station, • Preferred experience includes Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation, dopamine/dobutamine/lidocaine/nitro/milrinone drips, chest tubes, other drains, and CIWA protocol, • Night shift orientation is conducted on day shift; candidate must be available the entire orientation week, • Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment; only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment, • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate, • Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted, • Scrub requirement: black tops and pants; tops must display the Mercy cross logo on the left chest; undershirts/long-sleeve shirts allowed in black, white, yellow, green, red, or blue, • Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, bending, stooping, and lifting/turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 15 lbs With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
