Job Description Electrical-Conduit Installation Technician Location: Memphis, TN Pay Rate: $22 – $35/hour (based on experience) + Performance Bonus Program Employment Type: Full-Time Overtime: Available Weekend Work: Available Job Summary: We are seeking steady, detail-oriented, and process-driven Electrical-Conduit Installation Technicians to join our growing team. This position includes the installation of electrical conduit systems, low-voltage cabling, and fiber optic infrastructure across commercial and residential projects. We are looking for individuals who take pride in doing things the right way — not the fastest way. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working both collaboratively in a team and independently in the field, with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities: • Install EMT, RMC, PVC, and flexible conduit systems to meet NEC and project specifications, • Perform precision conduit bending, threading, and fabrication using hand and power tools, • Pull, fish, and route Category cable, fiber optic cable, and electrical wire through conduit systems, • Install junction boxes, pull boxes, and conduit supports ensuring code compliance, • Mount and wire electrical devices, control panels, and low-voltage enclosures, • Terminate and test structured cabling, fiber optics, access control, and CCTV systems, • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and riser drawings accurately, • Ensure proper cable management, labeling, and documentation practices, • Test and certify installed systems using appropriate electrical and network test equipment, • Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain compliance with codes, • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and project stakeholders, • Work effectively as part of a crew, coordinating with team members and other trades, • Work independently to complete assignments with minimal supervision, • Work in various environments including construction sites, commercial buildings, and outdoor conditions, • Work weekends when approved What We Look For: • Ideal candidates are steady, dependable, and thrive in structured environments where they can master a skill and perform at a high standard, • Individuals who are disciplined, thoughtful, and prefer clear expectations in a stable work environment, • Technicians who enjoy working with their hands, following procedures, and producing high-quality results, • Loyal, conscientious professionals who value consistency over chaos, and who take pride in workmanship and follow-through Qualifications: (Will train motivated employees) • Prior experience with conduit installation, bending, and electrical work highly preferred, • Experience with low-voltage systems, structured cabling, or telecom installation a strong plus, • Proficient with conduit bending tools, fish tapes, wire pulling equipment, and electrical hand tools, • Knowledge of NEC codes, BICSI standards, and electrical installation best practices, • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem-solve independently and in a group setting, • Excellent customer interaction and communication skills, • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (CDL is a plus), • Physically able to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform overhead work daily What We Offer: • We will provide training in every aspect of electrical and low-voltage installation for motivated and conscientious individuals, • Competitive pay structure with weekly bonus opportunities, • Career growth in a rapidly expanding electrical and telecommunications company, • Hands-on training and industry certifications, • A supportive, team-first, safety-conscious work environment, • The opportunity to help build critical infrastructure for local businesses and communities Company DescriptionProTec designs and installs certified structured cabling systems for both inside premise and outside plant scenarios projects.
