Job Description Job Title: CNC Programmer/Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Machinist proficient in programming and understanding basic G&M codes. While training is available for MasterCAM, a foundational knowledge in this area is essential. Responsibilities • Read blueprints, dimensional data, surface locations, and interpret GD&T., • Determine the sequence of shaping operations and choose the correct tooling/inserts required., • Validate programs using MasterCAM software, transitioning SolidWorks models into MasterCAM for CNC interface., • Write or modify existing programs., • Operate CNC milling or turning equipment, including surfacing, reaming, boring, drilling, and tapping., • Utilize micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools., • Set up mills or lathes by installing and adjusting jaws, vises, stops, etc., • Use overhead cranes (15T) to obtain or transfer stock., • Perform all aspects of a machining center, including programming, setup, machining, and producing the end part. Work Environment The work environment is a very clean, well-lit machine shop with a large machine floor accommodating the sizeable parts and industries served. Despite the absence of air conditioning, excellent airflow ensures a comfortable atmosphere. The position is for the 1st shift, running from 6:30 AM, with the possibility of extended hours until 4:15 PM or early starts for additional work, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mishawaka, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
