Job Description Job Title: GMAW Seam Welder Job Description This role focuses on welding and fabricating frames and doors according to detailed specifications, using MIG and TIG processes in a production environment. You will interpret blueprints, assemble components, and perform high-quality welds to support consistent, efficient manufacturing. Responsibilities • Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and weld requirements for frames and doors., • Set up welding equipment and prepare materials for MIG and TIG welding in a production setting., • Perform high-quality welds on frames, doors, and related assemblies, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity., • Assemble components prior to welding, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and squareness according to specifications., • Use grinding tools and other finishing equipment to smooth welds, remove excess material, and achieve required surface finishes., • Inspect completed welds and assemblies for defects, and correct issues to meet quality and safety standards., • Follow established production schedules and work instructions to meet output and delivery targets., • Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment safely and efficiently., • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve fabrication issues and improve processes. Essential Skills • Proven experience with MIG welding in a production or fabrication environment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings., • Hands-on experience with TIG welding for frames, doors, or similar fabricated products., • Strong welding and fabrication skills, including fitting, tacking, and final welding., • Proficiency in using grinding tools and other finishing equipment to prepare and finish welds., • Ability to perform assembly work, including measuring, cutting, and positioning components prior to welding., • Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality welds and assemblies., • Ability to follow specifications, work instructions, and safety procedures consistently. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in a production environment focused on frames, doors, or similar metal structures., • Familiarity with various fabrication tools and equipment used in metalworking., • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills when working with complex assemblies., • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints while maintaining quality standards. The work involves standing for extended periods, handling metal components, and working around noise, sparks, and other typical shop conditions while following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fontana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
