Job DescriptionIndustrial Electrical Estimator Location: Denver, CO Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience Piper Electric, a Crete United Company, is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Estimator to support our continued growth into industrial, manufacturing, plant, and facility-based electrical work. As we expand our industrial capabilities, we’re looking for an estimator who understands the complexity of active facilities and can develop accurate, competitive estimates for new installations, expansions, upgrades, and retrofit projects. What You’ll Do • Prepare detailed electrical estimates for industrial plants, manufacturing environments, processing facilities, and other complex commercial facilities, • Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and scope documents to identify project requirements, risks, and opportunities, • Perform complete quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and rental pricing, • Estimate projects involving power distribution, equipment installations, controls, lighting, facility upgrades, and electrical infrastructure, • Develop conceptual budgets and design-assist pricing when complete construction documents are not available, • Coordinate with account managers, operations leaders, vendors, and subcontractors to develop project strategies, • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations, • Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, value-engineering opportunities, and potential project risks, • Prepare professional proposals, pricing summaries, alternates, and value-engineering presentations, • Participate in estimate reviews, proposal presentations, and project turnover meetings, • Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, historical pricing, and bid results, • Track labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost trends, • Stay current on industrial electrical systems, products, installation methods, codes, and market pricingWhat You’ll Bring, • At least six years of experience in the electrical industry, • At least three years of electrical estimating experience, • Experience estimating industrial, plant, manufacturing, or large facility projects strongly preferred, • Proficiency with Accubid required, • Electrical field experience preferred, • Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, labor productivity, and material requirements, • Working knowledge of the NEC and applicable local building codes, • Ability to read and interpret complex plans, specifications, single-line diagrams, and project documents, • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills, • Clear written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environmentWhat’s in It for You, • Base salary of $80,000–$110,000, based on experience, • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, • 401(k) with company match, • Paid time off and paid holidays, • Company-paid life insurance, • Short- and long-term disability coverage, • Career growth opportunities with Piper Electric and across the Crete United network Join a respected electrical contractor as we expand our capabilities and build the next phase of Piper Electric’s industrial business.
