Job Description This is a commission-only Estimator / Sales Representative role for individuals who want to earn based on performance—not time. Location: Skokie, IL (Greater Chicago Area) Salary: $60,000 – $120,000+ per year (commission only) There is no cap on commissions — unlimited earning potential. We're looking for a driven Sales Estimator to take inbound leads, run in-home estimates, and close deals. This is a 1099 commission-only role — you control your income. We generate the leads through our marketing and referral network. You call the homeowner, schedule the appointment, walk the property, present the estimate, and close it. No cold calling. No door knocking. We bring the leads — you bring the close. This is not a salaried position. If you need a guaranteed paycheck, this isn't for you. What You'll Do • Receive inbound leads from us and call homeowners promptly, • Schedule and conduct on-site estimates at the customer's home, • Measure, assess scope, take photos, and present pricing using our system, • Close deals on the spot or follow up within 24–48 hours, • Hand off signed contracts to production with all job details, • Follow up on open estimates weekly until closed or dead, • Optionally bring your own leads for additional commission What We're Looking For (Required) • 1+ years of sales or customer-facing experience (painting, home improvement, real estate, auto, retail — any high-touch sales counts), • Reliable personal vehicle with valid driver's license and insurance (mileage allowance), • Smartphone for photos, measurements, and communication, • Comfortable walking a homeowner's property and having face-to-face conversations, • Available for evening and weekend appointments (when homeowners are actually home), • Self-starter — no one is going to micromanage your schedule Nice to Have • Painting or home improvement industry experience, • Experience with estimating software or CRM tools, • Existing network of homeowners, realtors, or property managers in Chicagoland, • Previous 1099 or commission-only sales experience, • Knowledge of paint products, surface prep, and common residential painting issues Compensation • 8–10% commission on every closed job — paid when the customer pays, • Commission increases based on performance and monthly sales targets, • No cap on earnings — the more you close, the more you make, • Realistic earnings: $60,000 – $120,000+/year depending on volume and close rate, • We supply the leads. You supply the hustle.
