Job DescriptionManual Machinist – Full Time Kenner, LA Pay: $35.00 – $45 per hour (based on experience) I’m looking to bring on an experienced Manual Machinist for our Kenner shop. This is a 100% manual machining role—no CNC work at all. If you know your way around a manual lathe and mill, take pride in your work, and want steady, long‑term employment, this is a solid opportunity. What You’ll Be Doing • Set up and run manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and other shop equipment, • Machine and repair parts to print and tolerance, • Read blueprints and work orders, • Inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, and gauges, • Keep machines, tools, and work area clean and safeWhat I’m Looking For, • 3+ years of hands‑on manual machining experience, • Strong skills on manual lathes and mills, • Able to read prints and hold tight tolerances, • Reliable, safety‑minded, and takes pride in craftsmanship, • Experience with steel and industrial components preferredWhat We Offer, • $35.00–$45/hr, depending on experience, • Overtime opportunities, • Benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO, • Relocation assistance available for qualified out‑of‑area machinists This position is based in an indoor, climate-controlled shop environment, providing a comfortable and consistent workspace throughout the year. The schedule typically runs from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with additional opportunities for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday work as needed. Sundays are generally reserved for emergency jobs. Holiday work may be required for urgent needs. Sunday and holiday hours are compensated at double time, and there is a 10% differential for PM shifts. The facility offers eight paid holidays and two floating holidays, along with a 4% employer match on the 401(k) plan. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenner, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
