Role purpose: The Director of IT SAP Infrastructure provides strategic, architectural, and operational leadership for the SAP ecosystems of Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) and Louvre Hotels Group (LHG), ensuring they remain simple, scalable, resilient, and technologically up to date. With significant strategic relevance and financial impact, this role drives the definition, rollout, and end-to-end management of IT products and solutions that underpin both Groups’ digital business strategies, particularly within Operations. Roles/Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include safeguarding the performance, availability, and maintainability of SAP platforms; evaluating and optimizing changes to the production environment to ensure they deliver stability, efficiency, and measurable business value; and ensuring coherent integration with external systems to maintain a unified and scalable architecture across RHG and LHG. As a bridge between technology, business stakeholders, and third-party partners, the Director ensures that external deliverables align with the five-year strategic plans and transformation agendas of both Groups. Through innovation, operational excellence, and strong governance, this role enables seamless integration across SAP and non-SAP applications, positioning RHG and LHG’s SAP ecosystems as technically robust, agile, and sustainable foundations for global operations and long-term growth. Strategic Leadership & Enterprise Architecture • Define and lead SAP platform and IT strategy aligned with RHG and LHG’s digital transformation roadmap, 5YP, and long-term business goals., • Architect scalable, resilient, and secure SAP solutions across hybrid and cloud environments, leveraging next-generation technologies., • Translate business objectives into robust SAP architectures that enable operational excellence and data-driven decision-making. Governance, Partnerships & Performance • Provide strategic oversight of SAP operations, ensuring excellence in delivery from internal teams and 24x7 vendor-supported environments., • Govern third-party contracts to meet RHG and LHG standards for compliance, quality, and service performance., • Act as RHG and LHG’s global ambassador for SAP, representing the organization with technology partners and alliances., • Establish and enforce architectural standards across SAP landscapes for consistency, security, and maintainability. Transformation & Continuous Improvement • Lead modernization initiatives to optimize SAP for scale, resiliency, and cost-efficiency., • Champion automation and proactive monitoring to maximize performance and minimize operational risk., • Identify and adopt emerging SAP technologies for migration, integration, and cloud optimization., • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, aligning SAP performance with evolving business outcomes. Program Execution & Business Alignment • Partner with Engineering and Program Management to deliver SAP transformation programs aligned to the 5YP., • Ensure project delivery excellence within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards., • Provide executive-level governance through reporting, reviews, and early deviation detection., • Drive cross-functional collaboration across global teams to ensure strategic and operational alignment. Leadership & Influence • Lead and inspire high-performing SAP teams (direct managers and extended workforce), driving innovation, accountability, and operational excellence., • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives on SAP strategy, risk, and opportunities., • Build strong networks across business and technology functions to position SAP as a driver of organizational success., • Represent RHG and LHG externally as a thought leader in cloud-enabled enterprise transformation within the hospitality industry. Accountabilities: • Define and execute SAP & IT strategy aligned with the 5YP for RHG and LHG and digital transformation roadmap., • Architect and deliver scalable, resilient SAP cloud and hybrid solutions to future-proof enterprise systems., • Ensure smooth 24x7 SAP operations, overseeing vendors, contracts, and performance governance., • Lead SAP modernization, automation, and migration programs to improve resiliency, scalability, and cost efficiency., • Inspire high-performing teams and represent RHG and LHG externally as a thought leader in hospitality technology. Job requirements and qualifications: Location: • Madrid Language skills: • English fluency is a must Must have experience • SAP Technical Architecture, and infrastructure integration across complex enterprise environments., • SAP NetWeaver & System Administration – Deep expertise in SAP Basis / NetWeaver administration, including system monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management., • SAP Migrations & Upgrades – Proven success in planning and executing SAP system migrations, upgrades, and transformation programs at enterprise scale., • SAP & Cloud Operations – Strong background managing SAP landscapes across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, and high availability., • Enterprise IT Consulting – 10+ years of experience as a technical specialist or consultant in enterprise environments, delivering complex SAP and IT solutions., • Software Development & Automation – Hands-on experience with modern programming and scripting languages (Python, Go, JavaScript, Ruby, etc.) to drive automation and operational efficiency., • Enterprise Architecture – Track record designing and implementing large-scale enterprise SAP and IT infrastructure solutions for FTSE 100 (or equivalent) global companies., • Big Data & Advanced Analytics – Familiarity with Big Data, Analytics, and Machine Learning platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Teradata, Redshift) to integrate with SAP environments., • International Experience – Minimum 10 years of international leadership experience managing global teams, vendors, and multi-regional SAP delivery. Desirable experience • Hospitality experience., • Broad knowledge of the entire SAP platform stack., • Functional experience with SAP, including SAP integration., • TMS Experience. Minimum education: • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field., • A recognized project management qualification is preferable.
