Context Spread Research is a leading independent European credit research firm, founded in 2004 and focused on European corporate issuers. The team is growing alongside the continued expansion of the Euro high-yield, corporate hybrid, and convertible bond markets. As part of this growth, we are looking for a Senior Corporate High Yield Credit Analyst to strengthen our research capabilities. Reporting to the Head of Credit Research, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, timely, and actionable credit insights to clients, while contributing to the visibility and reputation of our research platform. The role involves regular interaction with asset managers and corporate issuers, including participation in roadshows and investor meetings across major European financial centers. Key responsibilities You will produce in-depth, decision-oriented credit research across a broad universe of European high-yield and crossover issuers. • Credit research production: produce and publish in-depth, timely research on European high-yield and crossover issuers, including financial forecasting, modeling, and responsive credit updates across industries. Coverage will primarily focus on European high-yield issuers, with exposure to hybrid bond structures and related credit risks., • Market and news flow analysis: provide timely commentary on company news, quarterly earnings, sector trends, valuation levels, and trade ideas, as well as detailed new-issue analyses aligned with primary market timelines., • Team-based publications: contribute to flagship team deliverables such as the European Credit Stat HY Corporate Report, Monthly Valuation, and European Corporate HY Prospects, as well as regularly updated marketing materials used in client and prospect meetings., • Investment insights: identify relative-value and outright trade opportunities across capital structures in both primary and secondary markets., • Client and issuer interaction: engage directly with corporate bond issuers’ management teams, asset managers, and institutional investors through meetings, calls, seminars, and roadshows across major European financial centers., • Collaboration and service improvement: work closely with the research team and contribute to service enhancements, including support on covenant analysis, ESG considerations, and sector insights to help peers publish research in a timely manner. Profile required • 5–7 years of experience as a credit analyst covering low-rated non-financial corporates, gained on the buy side or sell side., • Strong expertise in high-yield and crossover credit, with exposure to instruments such as high-yield or emerging-market corporate bonds and CDS, convertible bonds, and leveraged loans., • Master’s degree in finance or a related field. CFA (or equivalent) is a strong asset., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French; German is a plus., • European passport or valid work authorization required.
