They are now ready to expand their offerings within the building safety and fire engineering space - and that’s where you come in. The new Fire Engineering service will work closely with their existing M&E / sustainability services, to deliver comprehensive, interdisciplinary solutions. The role You will be providing technical fire engineering advice on a range of building types at design, construction and in occupation phases. Your responsibilities will include: • Take a lead role in developing and growing the firm’s fire engineering capability, • Fire impact and optimisation analysis, • Design and specification of fire protection systems, • Produce fire strategy documents and fire safety management plans for new and existing buildings, • Advise on fire safety measures at design and construction stages, • Provide technical advice on safe building occupancy levels, fire evacuation plans etc., • Visit project/construction sites to advise on the installation or implementation of the designs, • Provide strategic industry insights and leadership Key skills and experience required: • A degree or professional diploma in fire engineering, fire safety engineering or equivalent, • At least 5 years post-graduate work experience in a fire engineering consultancy role, • Excellent understanding of UK fire safety legislation and standards, • Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers or Institute for Fire Safety Managers - desirable, • Significant experience of implementing fire engineering solutions in a range of settings, • Excellent knowledge of the current and emerging fire safety legislation framework, • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and growth Could this be the next chapter of your career??
